John McCain's Health Care Plan: Reagan would approve

John McCain's plan for health care reform includes:

  • Restoring control to patients
  • Making health insurance innovative, portable and affordable
  • Lowering costs
  • Offering choices beyond employer-based health insurance coverage
  • Ensuring care for high-risk patients
  • Confronting long-term challenges

A May 3rd editorial in The Washington Times compared McCain's approach to that of Ronald Reagan's view of government, both based in the belief of the benefits of "more competition, freedom and greater individual choice."
