Delegate Mark Cole (R-88 Fredericksburg) will be the Guest Speaker at the June 17th meeting of the Madison County Republican Women, 6:30-8:30 PM, at the Madison Presbyterian Church, Rt. 722 at the north traffic light. Delegate Cole serves on the Finance and Education Committees and is chairman of the House of Delegates Privileges and Elections (P&E) Committee. P&E typically deals with over 100 bills and resolutions during a session. The committee is responsible for confirming many gubernatorial appointments to important boards and commissions, in addition to handling campaign and election laws and constitutional issues.
The 2008 Marion Simpson Scholarship recipient, Erin Warren, will also be on hand to present her winning essay.
