LIBERAL CONVENTION HERE WE GO

Yesterday was the kick-off of the liberal convention where Democrats will officially nominate Barack Obama. It is also the kick-off for the all out sprint to Election Day.

Democrats are trying to make this election about change. FAILED LEADERSHIP OF SPEAKER PELOSI AND THE DEMOCRAT-LED CONGRESS

Speaker Nancy Pelosi took the stage last night at the Democrat National Convention to celebrate how far Democrats have come since 2004. We concur they've come a long way -- to destroying even their own party's confidence in the Democrat-controlled Congress.

Since Democrats took the majority less than two years ago, Pelosi and her partisan lapdogs, who refuse to vote on or even debate an energy proposal to increase the supply of American oil, managed to drive down Congress' approval rating to an all time low of 14% this summer, according to a July Gallup Poll. REPUBLICANS ARE RIGHT IN LINE WITH AMERICANS

Unlike the Democrats, our Party and our candidates are right in line with the majority of Americans on fighting to keep taxes low, on not cutting and running in Iraq, on blocking amnesty for illegal immigrants and on demanding that we DRILL now to cultivate domestic sources and pass a comprehensive plan to lower the cost of gas and energy.

We can no longer afford the "do-nothing" attitude that has plagued this Democrat-led Congress for the last two years.

America needs a Republican-controlled House of Representatives that is willing to make the tough decisions facing our country -- and that can shape a stronger, more prosperous future for America.
