Obama: You were wrong. Be a grown-up and admit it.

Obama is very stubborn. He refuses to admit he was wrong about the surge, despite all evidence to the contrary. This is not a good thing for our military or our country. Vets for Freedom calls him on it and his decided lack of support for our service men and women.
"Vets for Freedom has launched another ad as a part of our Truth About the Surge Campaign. The ad is a $2.2 million effort to pressure Barack Obama to officially recognize our military's progress in Iraq, highlighting along the way his neglect of military matters in his position of United States Senator. Here is the ad entitled "Skipped"

Senator Obama's history on matters directly affecting our men and women in uniform is a matter of public record. As you can see, in the ad we highlighted Sen. Obama's vote against emergency funding for our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq in 2007; he preferred to hold out for a timeline that would have constrained our troops from successfully carrying out the objectives of the Surge. Additionally, the ad notes Senator Obama's failure to hold a single hearing on Afghanistan, despite being the chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on European Affairs -- which has jurisdiction over NATO activities.

This buy is focused in California, a state with over 2.5 million veterans, and to date, no other organization like Vets for Freedom has committed these kinds of resources to any single state.

Vets for Freedom will continue to combat the cheerleaders of defeat who have accused us of playing partisan politics, despite our support for pro-mission veterans regardless of party. We will do what it takes to achieve our mission of educating the American people about the importance of success in Afghanistan and Iraq.

With your continued support we can keep reminding our lawmakers that our troops and their ability to succeed is a priority."

Move out and Draw fire,

Pete Hegseth
