One way or another, Obama will cost you money

In tonight's debate, Obama said he wants to raise taxes on corporations like Exxon Mobil even though corporate taxes in this country are among the highest in the world and already place American companies at a competitive disadvantage.

Shareholders will also pay the price when taxes are raised on companies in which they have stocks, with lower capital gains and dividends.

Then consumers will pay, as taxes are passed on down the line in the form of higher prices.

All this to "spread the wealth around" says Sen. Obama.

Wouldn't taxpayers rather keep their "wealth" instead of give it to the government, which plans to indulge in noblis oblige with it? Americans are the most generous people in the world but forced giving with over taxation is unlikely to create wealth for anyone.

Sounds more like killing the goose who lays the golden egg, but that's Socialism for you.
