Join in Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Matt Chancey asks for your prayers and your help. (excerpt)
"This Sunday is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church .

Please remember to specifically pray for our brothers and sisters who face intimidation, torture, and even death for proclaiming that Jesus is their Lord and Savior.

Here, in America, we don't know what persecution is. When our internet connection goes down for a few hours, we get upset and even angry. When we miss a meal, many of us get irritable (I know I do!).

But what if we witnessed our wives raped and parents murdered? What if our children were torn from our arms and sold as slaves? What if every worldly possession we owned was stolen or burned? How would our faith hold up?

Well, my faith would need a lot of encouragement! And that's where you come in.

God does not promise us an easy life as Christians. In fact, suffering is virtually guaranteed. But what is also guaranteed is that God will give us the strength to endure suffering and build our faith. One of the ways he does this is by the prayers and encouragement from our brothers and sisters in the faith.

So, tomorrow on the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, please pray that God will send his Spirit of peace to the persecuted. Pray that God will provide for all their needs and cause their faith to strengthen and grow.

And if God moves you as you pray, please consider sending encouragement to the persecuted in the form of direct support, which you can do securely on our website by clicking HERE.

Thank you for all you've already done for the persecuted. I look forward to joining you in prayer tomorrow!"

Sincerely,
