Quote of the Day

"My friends, I don’t mean to dismiss the health risks associated with tobacco use. But I find it ironic that the social engineers think open homosexuality in the military is just fine, but tobacco should be banned. Have they given much thought about the negative health consequences of homosexual conduct?

Now, pay close attention to this next point, friends. According to the USA Today report, “Tobacco use costs the Pentagon $846 million a year in medical care and lost productivity, says the report, which used older data. The Department of Veterans Affairs spends up to $6 billion in treatments for tobacco-related illnesses, says the study, which was released late last month.”

So if something increases health care costs, the government’s response is to ban it. Can there be any doubt now that the end-result of Obama’s socialized healthcare scheme will be rationing and more government control over your life? If you smoke, you’re out. If you eat too much red meat, you’re out. If you cost too much, tough luck, you’re out. That’s exactly what happens in Canada and Europe, and that’s why so many Canadians and Europeans come to America to get care they are denied in their native countries."
