America, Democrats have something to tell you...

What Democrats have to say when they head back home to voters...

"What they have to say when they go home is this message:

"We didn't pass a budget. We didn't accept the Republican suggestion for $300 billion in appropriation spending limits. We didn't put a freeze on tax hikes, which are automatically coming on the first day of next year.

"There's 10 percent unemployment. There's an unpopular health care bill, which we'd rather not talk about. We've given you, they would say, too much spending, too much taxes, too much debt, too many Washington takeovers, and over the next 10 years, the budget's going to double and then triple. That's the message that the Democratic Congress is taking home."

-Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN)

Quote of the Day

"What's becoming clearer and clearer, though, is that Obama doesn't like Americans, either. We're ignorant rubes who still believe in oddities like God and guns. We're uncivilized barbarians who insist that free enterprise, not government redistributionism, cures economic ills. We're not world citizens, Ivy League professors or community organizers. In short, Obama's just not that into us. And his scorn justifies his whining. Either that or he's cracking."

Setting Our Country on the Right Course

National Federation of Republican Women
Supports House GOP's 'Pledge to America'

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Sue Lynch, president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued this statement regarding "The Pledge to America," which outlines the House Republican legislative agenda for the next Congress.

"The National Federation of Republican Women is proud to support 'A Pledge to America,' which is built on our nation's founding principles and addresses the priorities and concerns of the American people, including revitalizing the economy and reducing government spending.

"The 'Pledge' stands in stark contrast to the radical liberal agenda, defined by Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, which does not reflect the will of the American people and has propelled our country into deeper debt while failing to deliver on the promise of more jobs.

"The NFRW looks forward to working with House and Senate Republicans to set our country on the right course to economic prosperity and a better future for the generations of Americans to come, and we believe 'A Pledge to America' serves as an impressive first step in the right direction."

Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation and in several U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.

"And despite the challenge posed by a recession that originated with a Republican in the White House, national security remains the federal government's principal obligation. Cantor and Co. do not omit this. Indeed, Young Guns implicitly adapts Ronald Reagan's combination of realism and vision to global circumstances that have changed since the end of the Cold War."

TEA Party Patriot at 9-11 TEA Party Rally

from the RenewAmerica Newsletter

WORLDNETDAILY — A new poll released this week soundly contradicts critics' claims that the tea-party movement is "fringe," "white" and "racist." PJTV's Tea Party Tracking Poll has monitored nationwide sentiments toward the tea party on a weekly basis since Aug. 2. The poll's most recent reports reveal the following results... (more)

Democrats Unveil 2010 Message: ‘Hope, Change and a Buttload of Attack Ads’

Remember when Democrats didn’t want to talk about Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers and ACORN? Remember when they kept saying how we need to focus on the important issues that matter to working American families? My, how times have changed:

Democratic candidates across the country are opening a fierce offensive of negative advertisements against Republicans, using lawsuits, tax filings, reports from the Better Business Bureau and even divorce proceedings to try to discredit their opponents and save their Congressional majority. . . .

In Ohio, Representative Betty Sutton calls her Republican rival, Tom Ganley, a “dishonest used-car salesman” who has been sued more than 400 times for fraud, discrimination, lying to customers about repairs, overcharging them and endangering their safety. She warns voters, “You’ve heard the old saying, buyer beware!”

In Arizona, Representative Harry E. Mitchell accused his opponent David Schweikert of being “a predatory real estate speculator who snatched up nearly 300 foreclosed homes, been cited for neglect and evicted a homeowner on the verge of saving his house, just to make a buck.”

In New York, Representative Michael Arcuri introduces his Republican challenger, Richard Hanna, as a millionaire who “got rich while his construction company overcharged taxpayers thousands, was sued three times for injuries caused by faulty construction and was cited 12 times for health and safety violations.” . . .

Read the rest. It’s disgusting. But then again, they’re Democrats. You can help these Republican candidates fight back against the smears:

Quote of the Day

"Remember how last summer’s town hall meetings got heated when concerned citizens turned out to question lawmakers about ObamaCare? It didn’t take long for the Democrats to call in reinforcements, and soon union thugs showed up and citizens were beaten up. Now it’s happening on the campaign trail.

A fight broke out last night during a debate between Harry Reid and Sharron Angle. But the fight wasn’t between the two candidates and it really wasn’t a debate. Sharron Angle was there to answer questions live, while Harry Reid appeared in a pre-taped video presentation.

The crowd was stacked against Angle, which this report from National Review Online makes clear. As Sharron Angle was making her closing remarks, Reid supporters rudely got up and began to leave. That’s when the fighting started.

In the past, people often attributed such violence to passionate youths – kids being kids. But this is beyond “youthful indiscretion.” Remember the hundreds of people arrested at the 2008 Republican National Convention? Remember the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia? Violence and intimidation are becoming standard practice for the Left as it attempts to shut down debate and drive men and women of faith out of the public square and into the closet.

Don’t be intimidated. Fight back by getting active!"

A Prayer for Better Leaders to Serve Our Nation

Let us pray,

Our Father in Heaven, we beseech your continued guidance over this nation.

We thank you for each of these God loving patriotic citizens of Madison County.

Our nation is in deep trouble for lack of ethical leadership. Our nation is being run by gangsters in all three branches of government stealing us blind. Where did all of that money go? Political payoffs are being made with the hard earned dollars belonging to the faithful middle class.

It is time for the middle class to rise up in outrage and say ‘enough is enough!’

We pray for the outrage and the courage to refute all of this nonsense coming out of Washington, including the liberal press who continue to wave pom-poms instead of asking hard questions.

We pray for better leaders, men and women of character, courage, conviction, commonsense and their willingness to serve this great nation.

We are thankful for every person from across our nation who participates in restoring honor to our country.

We pray for every member of our armed forces, and all of those who serve our nation.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior.

Amen,

John Underwood

"The Tea Party movement has attracted millions of new voters (as well as millions of formerly disaffected Republican voters) to the GOP. And all that Tea Party members ask of the GOP is that it acts according to its own principles by supporting lower taxes, fiscal responsibility and less government. So why are many in the Republican establishment recoiling in horror at the most powerful new force politics has seen in at least a decade?"

Obama Snubs White Folk

Back Against the Wall, President Plays Race Card;
Returns to Black America for Support

President "Has a Lot of Nerve," Says Project 21's Kevin Martin

Washington, D.C. - A member of the Project 21 black leadership network says President Obama "has a lot of nerve" soliciting aid from black Americans only after his reputation with the rest of America has soured.

The charge, from Project 21's Kevin Martin, comes following Barack Obama's partisan appeal this weekend to the Congressional Black Caucus, asking CBC members to "guard the change."

"President Obama has a lot of nerve coming back to black America for support now," says Martin. "I have no doubt his policies are what is prolonging this recession that is hitting blacks especially hard. And yet it's only now when he appeals to us to come to his aid -- when his back is against the wall? I don't think so!"

In a September 18 speech at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., Obama reached out specifically to blacks to safeguard his increasingly unpopular policies, saying: "I need everybody here to go back to your neighborhoods, and your workplaces, to your churches, and barbershops, and beauty shops. Tell them we have more work to do. Tell them we can't wait to organize. Tell them that the time for action is now." The speech capped a week of minority outreach by the White House that included appearances on the Tom Joyner radio show and a speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Playing the race card during the speech, Obama claimed "the other side... want to take us backward."

Project 21's Martin added: "In the past, President Obama demanded we hold others accountable for their actions. He still does so, including on Saturday night when he once again said the Bush Administration drove the nation's economic car into the ditch and he won't give the keys back to conservatives in Congress. But Obama drove that car from the ditch into a lake, and alienated a majority of Americans with his brand of politics in the process. Now he wants to jump behind his blackness and use the rest of us as a shield against the accountability he's demanded of others."

"If President Obama is so confident in his vision to move the nation forward," noted Martin, "he would not have to employ black Americans as his shock troops, dividing America so he and his progressive friends can retain power."

Project 21, a leading voice of black conservatives since 1992, is sponsored by the National Center for Public Policy Research (http://www.nationalcenter.org).

Quote of the Day

"The progressives’ social policies, women’s liberation and Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society program in the 1960s worked out great for the elites, didn’t it? They racked up the Georgetown homes, Chicago connections and Ivy league educations. Government monies flowed in for thousands of do-gooder causes, mostly targeted at poor, urban families who were easy pickins’ for parasites like Michelle Obama. Now the same ruling class leftists want to ‘nanny’ the kids they made fat in the first place!"

Quote of the Day

"We’re learning more and more about the many ways Washington has wasted your hard-earned tax dollars in the so-called stimulus bill. Just consider the recent audit from Los Angeles City Comptroller Wendy Greuel. In her 40-page report, Greuel wrote, “I'm disappointed that we've only created or retained 55 jobs after receiving $111 million." Greuel may be disappointed, but I’m furious! That’s $2 million per job! And here’s another outrageous example of how $800,000 of your money was wasted.

What did we get for it? After hundreds of billions of dollars in stimulus spending, the unemployment rate today is even higher. The poverty rate is at its highest level in decades. Clearly more spending and bigger government isn’t the solution.

But back in Washington, Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi are digging their heels in when it comes to tax cuts for small business owners. The liberal Democrats claim we can’t afford to let entrepreneurs and job creators keep more of their hard-earned income, but they have no problem with Washington wasting it.

In 2008, Americans voted for hope and change. But as the polls indicate, they now realize we’ve been led down the wrong track. It’s time for new solutions that will bring real hope and meaningful change."

STOP S. 3454 in its Tracks

from Tony Perkins at Family Research Council

The Time to Ask and Tell Is Now

"As expected, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has officially filed S. 3454, the Defense Authorization bill. There likely will be a vote Tuesday afternoon on the bill. The legislation includes provisions that would overturn the current policy on homosexuals serving openly in the military without regard for the effect on military readiness and also a provision that would compel military hospitals to perform abortion.

Our military must not be used by the Left to push a radical liberal agenda. So, today and everyday until Tuesday, we urge you to call your Senators to stop any vote to proceed to this legislation so that it can be sent back to committee and fixed. Senator Reid might see the military merely as props in his floundering reelection campaign, but we do not."
