A general meeting of the Rappahannock County Republican Committee will be held on Wednesday, February 23 at 7:00 pm at the Rappahannock County Library located at 4 Library Road in Washington, Virginia.
Mark J Berg, MD will be a guest speaker at the meeting. Dr. Berg obtained is medical degree from Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY in 1984, and his Family Practice Board Certification in 1987. He practiced emergency medicine for thirteen years and family practice/primary care for seven years, retiring from medical practice in 2008.
Dr. Berg has analyzed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (The current ObamaCare law), as well as thousands of pages of other health care bills and federal regulations over the last two years. In 2009, he gave a presentation on ObamaCare with Dennis G. Smith, Senior Fellow in Health Care Reform at The Heritage Foundation's Center for Health Policy Studies. Since then, he has spoken on various health care issues, including comparative effectiveness research, medical privacy, and the use of electronic health records.
