Help These Families in Need

from Ken Cuccinelli, II, Attorney General of Virginia

Today, I am writing you about a tragedy much closer to home.

On March 13, two sheriff's deputies were fatally shot when responding to a report of a robbery at a local salvage yard in Vansant, Virginia.

Shortly after, when sheriff's deputies were pursuing the suspect - two more deputies were shot. Thankfully these two wounded sheriffs appear to be recuperating - but they still have a long way to go to recover.

Law enforcement officers who serve their community bravely and honorably place their lives on the line each day they go to work. It is incumbent upon us as Virginians, and Americans, to do what we can to help those who keep us safe.

A relief fund has been set up to support the families of the four deputies who were shot this month. If you're able - please consider assisting the families affected by this horrid shooting.

Can you help these families in need? All the proceeds will go directly to the families of the officers shot on the 13th.

If you can - please direct your checks to the following:

Thank you all, once again, for your help.
