March 17th: Agenda 21 at Charlottesville, VA

The Deceptive Agenda of Sustainability
in Local Government

Thursday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m.
Lane Auditorium, Albemarle County Office Building
401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville VA

WITH

Tom DeWeese

Founder and President of the American Policy Center
Editor of The DeWeese Report

Charles Battig, M.S., M.D.

Piedmont Chapter President of VA-SEEE
(Virginia Scientists and Engineers for Energy and Environment)

Have you heard of the U.N. Agenda 21 and the sustainability agenda? What is ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives, now Local Governments for Sustainability), and why should it be a concern to you locally? Their policies are openly dedicated to global government control over every aspect of our lives including housing, energy, water, food production, transportation, population control, education, social welfare...all in the name of sustainability.

Did you know that Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville are paying your tax dollars to ICLEI and are attributed status as Global Members? Do you know why the "Cool Counties" program isn't so cool , and how it allows ICLEI to participate in local decisions affecting your property rights under the benign banner of saving energy?

Spend St. Patrick's Day with the Jefferson Area Tea Party on Thursday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. as Tom DeWeese and Dr. Charles Battig discuss the "blarney" of sustainability on this "green day." This community forum is non-partisan, free of charge, and open to the public. Our panel will answer questions from the audience following their presentations.

Everyone will receive a green sham-rock with a number on it, good for a drawing for a free, autographed copy of Tom DeWeese's new book, "Now Tell Me I Was Wrong."

On behalf of the JATP, Chairwoman Carole Thorpe sent personal invitations to the entire Albemarle County Board of Supervisors and Charlottesville City Council encouraging them to attend, to learn about the hidden agenda of ICLEI, and reconsider paid participation in the organization.

This is need-to-know information for everyone
