Radical Islam's War On Women

By Gary L. Bauer

While Obama and his campaign surrogates obsess about a "Republican war on women," they turn a blind eye to radical Islam's very real war on women. This week, 150 Afghan school girls were poisoned in an attack likely carried out by the Taliban. Most of the girls, thankfully, suffered only headaches and vomiting. But some of them are in critical condition.

When the Taliban ruled Afghanistan, it banned the education of women as "un-Islamic." Schools for girls were reopened after the U.S. deposed the Taliban regime due to its support for Osama bin Laden and the 9/11 attacks. But Taliban sympathizers frequently attacked girls going to the schools, often throwing acid in their faces. This is the same Taliban that the Obama Administration has been negotiating with as it seeks to speed up the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan.

Speaking of radical Islam, leaders of the Jewish community in Hebron have sent an open letter to the U.N. Secretary General, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and others hoping to prevent the execution of Muhammad Abu Shahala, a Palestinian. Was Shahala falsely accused by the Israeli government of being a terrorist? No. He has been sentenced to death by his own people for the "heinous crime" of selling a home to Jews.
