Family Research Council to Host Lecture on Christianity's Influence on Government, Society

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Family Research Council (FRC) will host a live webcast lecture on the role of the Christian influence in Western society, Christianity's role in shaping the United States and the world and what that means for the next generation of Christians.

Dr. Owen Strachan, assistant professor of Christian theology and church history at Boyce College in Louisville, Kentucky, will give a lecture entitled "The Sacrificial Witness of the Christian Moral Tradition." Dr. Strachan's lecture will call for the next generation of Christians to realize that the times demand a strong biblically-grounded, moral witness. Born out of a spirit of sacrifice and humility, Christians, must speak out for godliness and righteousness in our public sphere. Dr. Strachan will explain what must be done if the great Christian witness of the past is to once again influence our culture and its government.
