Senator Marty Williams Endorses Mark Obenshain for Attorney General


Williams: I'm supporting Mark Obenshain for Attorney General because he has real plans to keep Virginians safe and the experience to effectively get things done for our citizens.

NEWPORT NEWS – Former State Senator and Newport News City Councilman Marty Williams today announced his support for Mark Obenshain for Attorney General.

Speaking about his support for Mark Obenshain, Williams said, "I have worked alongside both Mark Obenshain and his opponent in the Virginia Senate, and I firmly believe that Mark Obenshain is the right choice to be Virginia's next Attorney General.  Mark is respected by his colleagues on both sides of the aisle because he listens to those who disagree with him and will always work to find common ground. I'm supporting Mark Obenshain for Attorney General because he has real plans to keep Virginians safe and the experience to effectively get things done for our citizens."

Williams served in the Senate of Virginia from 1995-2007, Chairing the Senate Transportation Committee. He served on the Newport News City Council for six years.

Mark Obenshain is the Republican nominee for Attorney General of Virginia. He currently represents the 26th District in the Senate of Virginia.
