As I wrap up my time in Richmond for the year, I am reminded of some important and humbling truths. We are not here for our own gain, but for the sake of those ~84,000 people in our districts.   I got tired of hearing from Democrats that if I am not of a certain background, then my voice does not matter. This Week on the House Floor

This past week was filled with conference reports. This is when the House and the Senate do not agree on the wording of a bill. Conferees are appointed to work out the wording. There was a lot of start and stop this week because of these conference reports.   The biggest aspect of the week was the budget. Point blank, the budget has a multi-BILLION dollar increase in taxes. When Virginia is struggling to buy the basic necessities, Democrats want to raise taxes to address issues such as loud mufflers.
