Jon Myers for Congress: Here’s why I’m the right choice for Virginia

The Republican primary for VA-07 has a crowded field with many qualified candidates, but realistically, it's between me and two others.   Both Cameron Hamilton and Derrick Anderson have honorably served our country—there's no denying that. I also have decades of Marine Corps service and more deployments than 99% of my fellow Marines. However, our district needs someone with more than just military service.   I'm the only candidate in this race with: ✅ Deep family roots within the district ✅ Raised three children in VA-07, 3-decade resident ✅ Decades of military and strategic level national security experience ✅ Experience taking on the drug cartels ✅ A true commitment to fight for congressional term limits I'm not in this race to play politics—nor am I being funded by do-nothing elected officials and PACs. I am only in this race for my family and the people of VA-07.   I am a leader who will not, on principle, claim allegiance to any congressional faction because I am interested in only the people of the 7th Congressional District and the citizens of the United States.   I threw my hat into this race because, just like every other American, I was angry at our career politicians' response to what happened in Benghazi and the disastrous chaos we saw unfold during the Afghanistan withdrawal, both of which I was personally involved in.    I am a Marine through and through and Marines adapt and overcome.
