This Memorial Day Weekend, Governor Youngkin and First Lady Suzanne S. Youngkin invite Virginians and all Americans to join them in pausing to remember the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.  The Governor and First Lady thank every active-duty service member, every reservist, every member of the Virginia Guard and every single veteran for their dedication and service to our country.  These heroic Americans are owed a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid, and we will never forget their sacrifices.  CLICK HERE TO WATCH This week, Governor Glenn Youngkin signed SB 731, HB 1427, HB 1388 and SB 201 to protect children from exploitation, increase penalties on child predators and ensure rapid response for missing or endangered children.   "As a father of four children, I know that protecting our children is a parent's highest priority. By signing these pieces of legislation today we continue to make progress to ensure the safety and well-being of our children. This week, Governor Youngkin celebrated a milestone more than a decade in the making and signed kinship care bills HB 27 and SB 39. An overwhelming collection of hearts have come together to demonstrate that by working in partnership we can fundamentally change lives.

This week, the First Lady spoke alongside former First Lady Lynda Robb at the Dolley Madison Liberty & Legacy Luncheon presented by James Madison's Montpelier. Together they discussed their unique perspectives as a current and former First Lady of Virginia while recognizing the importance of stewarding preservation, the arts and culture throughout the Commonwealth. Amongst the hundreds of women gathered, First Lady Suzanne Youngkin was proud to celebrate and speak about the theme of this year's luncheon, We the People Unite: A conversation on collaborative leadership.

On #ArmedForcesDay, Governor Youngkin recognized the individuals who raised their hand and said, "I will serve." We are the greatest nation because of their courage, commitment, and love of country. Thank you for answering the call to serve and keeping our nation safe.

In her "Twelve Views of Virginia Series," Miwako Nishizawa captures some of our Commonwealth's most renowned landmarks and regions through techniques that are reflective of her Japanese #homehistory. Three of Nishizawa's "Twelve Views of Virginia'' depicting Jamestown, Skyline Drive and Cape Henry are currently on display at the Executive Mansion through the Art Experience and in partnership with Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, representing the Commonwealth's diverse geographies, people and perspectives.
