"If Iran's ambitions to acquire nuclear weapons are thwarted, it will be despite Obama, not because of him."

Quote of the Day
"Chief executives have responsibilities to their existing employees, customers and shareholders. We simply cannot risk their jobs and their money by investing when we know that legislation like Obamacare will make it so much harder to earn a profit."

Quote of the Day
"Robert Higgs of the Independent Institute is right: If you wonder why businesspeople are not investing and reviving the economy, the answer lies in all the question marks that Obamacare and other new regulations confront them with. Higgs calls this "regime uncertainty." It's also what prolonged the Great Depression."
A Prayer for Health, Knowledge and Virtue
Let us pray,
Most holy and glorious Lord God, the giver of all good gifts.
You have promised that where two or three are gathered together in thy name, you will be in their midst and bless them. In thy name we most humbly assemble.
As a people, we have much to be thankful for, as this year comes to a close.
The promise for the coming future year is most encouraging. We must have faith, patience and courage.
The greatness of our nation will be restored. We are the longest living democracy on earth. May we be mindful of this on a regular basis. Every Christian and all other persons of good will should be knowledgeable of our American history and constitution. We did not get here by chance. We got here by divine providence.
We pray for our friend Kay Heflin that her health may be restored.
We pray for our leaders that they may advance in knowledge and virtue.
We pray for all the members of our armed forces and their families.
Dear God, bless us and bless our nation as we continue in the struggle to do thy will
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ,
Amen

Quotes of the Day
"An administration that came to power calling George W. Bush a bully who sought to impose Western ideology on foreign countries feels entitled to behave imperialistically on [the gay agenda]."

"If we get to the point where we cannot bring ourselves to do what is in our national interest, then we are clearly in a period of decline… A nation that fails to secure the energy its citizens and its economic engine need to keep functioning leaves itself vulnerable to external contingencies in a dangerous and uncertain world and to the whims of foreign leaders and other actors who may not always have its interests at heart.
"The delay, and possible rejection of this pipeline, could have significant and long-range national security implications for our nation."

"Here's the truth: House Republicans passed a one-year extension of the payroll tax cut last week, which is what President Obama has been asking for. It was the Democrat Senate that managed to approve only one-sixth of what the president wanted. Experts are now warning that the two-month extension "could create substantial problems" and "cannot be implemented properly."
Rather than continue to have this debate every other month for the next year, House Republicans are demanding a better bill that gets it done now so that families can have some certainty in their paychecks next year!"

Quote of the Day
"It is clear that this decision of a complete pullout of United States troops from Iraq was dictated by politics, and not our national security interests. I believe history will judge this president’s leadership with the scorn and disdain it deserves.”

Quote of the Day
“As part of the stimulus, the Department of Interior awarded more than $400,000 to…rehabilitate McPherson Square in Northwest Washington…that included new grass, concrete curbs, refurbished benches, new light poles, water fountains, new paint, new chain fencing, 12 new trash cans and new light meters. While the merits of this stimulus funding are debatable, we can all agree that once the federal government invested the funds, no government agency should have allowed it to be damaged or destroyed when it legally could have been prevented,”
Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA)

Quote of the Day
"The former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and current Republican presidential candidate said yesterday that "there was no Palestine as a state. It was part of the Ottoman Empire. We have invented the Palestinian people, who are in fact Arabs and are historically part of the Arab people, and they had the chance to go many places."
Everyone from the PLO to a Mitt Romney spokesman jumped on Gingrich for this assertion, but he happens to be absolutely correct: no Arabic-speaking Muslims identified themselves as "Palestinian" until 1920, when, in rapid order this appellation and identity was adopted by the Muslim Arabs living in the British mandate of Palestine."

Quotes of the Day
"You know the president says that the American people 'can't wait' on jobs. Well guess what -- we agree wholeheartedly with the president.
"The Keystone pipeline project will create tens of thousands of jobs immediately. It has bipartisan support in the House and Senate. It's pretty clear that the president's decided to push this decision off for a year -- conveniently until after his next election. Well the American people 'can't wait,' as the president said, and at a time when the American people are still asking the question 'Where are the jobs?' I think this is a bipartisan proposal that the president ought to endorse."

"Meanwhile, in prepared testimony, Jon Corzine told the House Agriculture Committee that he was "stunned" to learn that more than $1 billion of investors' funds were missing. Where have I heard that before? Right -- that was Chris Christie who said he was stunned to learn just after taking office that Jon Corzine had left him with a $2.2 billion deficit.
Corzine clearly has a history of losing people's money. When Corzine says he's "stunned" by missing money, there is a bit of a credibility issue at stake here."

Quote of the Day
"Obama has few good ideas about how to create jobs and grow the economy. His trillion-dollar stimulus plan was a failure. If Obama's model worked, why is Europe collapsing?
Obama is a one trick pony, and his trick is very simple. Like all good socialists and the Occupy demonstrators, he thinks he can convince everyone else that they are hurting, not because he and his policies have failed but because someone else is succeeding."

Quote of the Day
"I have always been a supporter of uniform laws on values that undergird the family. That's why I supported the Federal Marriage Amendment. [Just as] you cannot have 50 different marriage laws, you cannot have 50 different abortion laws... The President has an obligation to defend the laws of this country, and the Defense of Marriage Act passed overwhelmingly. When a law is challenged, it is the obligation of the President to defend it... I would do everything to go around the courts if they struck down DOMA, and I've already done it."
"Everyone says we need a truce on social issues, that we need to focus on jobs and the economy. But what is at the heart of this country is that America is a moral enterprise, and we are sick at the heart of our country--when we see millions of children being aborted and marriage not being defended. A truce is not a truce, it's a surrender. I will not surrender. I will fight and defend America."
Senator Rick Santorum
