Liberal Media Shamelessly Spins Aurora Atrocity
By Gary Bauer
Is this what we have come to? Must every event be explained in the context of an ideological agenda?
Stephanopoulos: I'm going to go to Brian Ross. You've been investigating the background of Jim Holmes here. You found something that might be significant.
Ross: There's a Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, page on the Colorado Tea Party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party last year. Now, we don't know if this is the same Jim Holmes. But it's Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado.
Stephanopoulos: Okay, we'll keep looking at that. Brian Ross, thanks very much.
This is how dangerous left-wing political correctness can be. The first obligation of government is the protection of innocent life. But the first obligation of the left is to advance its radical agenda at all costs.
Good one!
How do you tell a Romney supporter from an Obama supporter?
Obama supporters sign theirs on the back.

"The mosque is vital for establishing Muslims as sovereign over non-Muslims in a non-Islamic society. Building a mosque in a non-Islamic society or country symbolizies Islam's claim over that society or country, even with a non-Muslim majority."

An 11-member special committee, formed discreetly by top Scout leaders in 2010, "came to the conclusion that this policy is absolutely the best policy for the Boy Scouts," the organization's national spokesman, Deron Smith, told The Associated Press.
It's not as though Scout meetings are hothouses of talk about sexual orientation. There are badges for American Business, American Cultures and American Labor, but none for American Sexuality. The Scouts have every right to say that discussions of sexuality belong in the family, not in the den meeting.

Quote of the Day
"U.S. taxpayers are ill-served by having their tax dollars consistently taken from them to subsidize and pay for corruption and death. The President needs to be questioned how he can still embrace such dishonesty. It is past time the federal government follows the example of numerous states and defunds Planned Parenthood."

Quote of the Day
"I would like to have heard Romney ask the people gathered there how many potential black presidents would there be today if 17,653,000 blacks had not been murdered by abortion between 1973 and 2011? I would like to have heard Romney make the point that if abortion had been legal when Obama’s mother was pregnant with him the chances are very good he would never have been born."

Easing the Pain
By Tony PerkinsFamily Research Council
By Tony PerkinsFamily Research Council
Scientists have shown that unborn children as early as 20 weeks after conception can feel pain because their pain receptors are developed. Doctors performing prenatal surgery routinely give unborn babies anesthesia. Dr. Colleen Malloy from Northwestern University testified in May 2012 that " I firmly believe, as the evidence shows, that the fetal pain experience is no less than the neonatal or adult pain experience." The majority of Americans are, by far, in favor of restricting abortion to the first trimester. Rep. Franks' bill would ban abortion after 20 weeks since we know that late term abortion can cause severe pain for the unborn child.
Quote of the Day
"The message we are hearing out of many of our politicians and too many in the media about women’s issues today seems to indicate that women are defined simply by their right to abortion. As a woman, a woman who runs a robust non-profit while raising a family, I’m offended that politicians would reduce women by grouping them in such a monolithic way. We are complex and multi-faceted. But that’s long been the mantra of the feminist movement – we are defined, not by our abilities to run businesses and organizations and schools, or hold public office, or the most important of all, raise our families – we are defined only by the ability to take the life of our unborn child. The truth is that abortion hurts women."

“Very few jobs here, lots of jobs in China.”
Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer — hardly an anti-Obama partisan — aptly sums up the administration’s dubious Green Jobs achievement.

"According to the left, it’s the government’s job alone to decide when and how to discuss abortion and birth control methods. It’s part of the left’s authoritarian impulse on all matters related to sexuality and health care.
"But sometimes we are reminded that the Constitution is the ultimate arbiter of laws in our society. And when judges apply the clear meaning of the Constitution to the cases before them, the cause for life usually wins."

Quote of the Day
"I really feel that it is demeaning to me to think that I need some individual to justify me and my existence. Look, I went through 22 years being in the military, I rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel, I have a bachelor and 2 masters degrees. And for these white liberals to believe they can have this condescending manner toward black conservatives that we need to have approval from our quote unquote, I guess “masters”, for us to be able to speak – see that’s where the true racism really lies governor is with the white liberals who don’t want to see someone such as myself that broke away from their dependency class and is out here and able to possibly contend against them with the policies that they are promoting that’s destroying the black community. I know I’m their #1 target and it just emboldens me to speak out even stronger."

About That Crying Woman…
The left-wing media was buzzing yesterday with reports about a sobbing woman at one Ohio campaign stop. Recounting how her sister had died from colon cancer, Stephanie Miller profusely thanked Barack Obama for giving us ObamaCare. According to the Huffington Post, Miller said that ObamaCare "could have saved her sister's life."
The liberal media loved it. And, dutifully, none of them bothered to look into Ms. Miller's background. If they had, the touching story and heartstring-tugging headlines might not have happened.
As it turns out, Miller is die-hard Obamabot. Her Twitter handle is "@obamasbestfan," and her Twitter feed is full of hate aimed at Republicans and conservatives. Here are a few examples that I can reprint:
"If there ever was a valid def. why women need birth control & legalized abortion it would b ROMNEY, SANTORIUM, GINGRINCH, PAUL, & LIMBAUGH!!"
"Has the GOP all drank the kool aid??? Too bad it wasn't the Jim Jones special!!!"
"Has the GOP all drank the kool aid??? Too bad it wasn't the Jim Jones special!!!"
Imagine if someone in tears thanked Mitt Romney. The media would immediately look into her background and if they found anything racist or mean-spirited toward Democrats, that would be the headline: "Racist/Bigot Hugs Mitt Romney."
Quote of the Day
"Consider this breathtaking cascade: An administration violates its constitutional duty to execute the law by deliberately refusing to enforce it. It then characterizes its non-enforcement as simply establishing priorities. It then tries to strike down a state law on immigration on the grounds that it contradicts federal law — by actually trying to enforce it!
The logic is circular, oxymoronic and the very definition of executive overreach. During the Bush-43 years, we were repeatedly treated to garment-rending about the imperial presidency, to major hyperventilation about the “unitary executive.” Yet the current administration’s imperiousness has earned little comparable attention."

Vets Combatting Unemployment
"One of the truly heartbreaking aspects of the
Obama economy is the difficulty so many returning veterans have in finding
employment. While the national unemployment rate is 8.2%, it is nearly 13% for
returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars has made reducing this
startling statistic a top priority by sponsoring a company called VetJobs.
VetJobs just announced that it is working to help our veterans fill thousands
of jobs building the Keystone XL pipeline. But there's a catch. These jobs are
on the Canadian side of the border.
Thanks to Obama, there are no Keystone pipeline
jobs in this country. In fact, VetJobs had corporate commitments to hire 8,000
veterans for the Keystone pipeline project in America until the Obama
Administration rejected it. A recent Rasmussen poll found that 60% of likely
voters support the Keystone pipeline, but Barack Obama is siding with the 22% who
oppose it.
Thankfully for our vets, the VWF and VetJobs have
been able to salvage something of their efforts. But this is just one more
example of how Barack Obama's left-wing ideology is hurting America and costing
jobs."

Quotes of the Day
“On Independence Day - and every day - Americans should remember and celebrate the Declaration's timeless expression of our God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and recall all those - past, present, and future - who pledge their lives, liberty, and sacred honor to upholding these truths.”
“But let's set aside those concerns for a moment to celebrate the birthday of America. I'd like to share with you excerpts of an essay Ronald Reagan wrote entitled "What the Fourth of July Means To Me."
"Somewhere in our growing up we began to be aware of the meaning of days and with that awareness came the birth of patriotism. July Fourth is the birthday of our nation. I believed as a boy, and believe even more today, that it is the birthday of the greatest nation on earth. …
"What manner of men were [gathered in Philadelphia in July 1776]? Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists, 11 were merchants and tradesmen, and nine were farmers. They were soft-spoken men of means and education; they were not an unwashed rabble. They had achieved security but valued freedom more. Their stories have not been told nearly enough.
"John Hart was driven from the side of his desperately ill wife. For more than a year he lived in the forest and in caves before he returned to find his wife dead, his children vanished, his property destroyed. He died of exhaustion and a broken heart.
"Carter Braxton of Virginia lost all his ships, sold his home to pay his debts, and died in rags. … [Thomas] Nelson personally urged Washington to fire on his home and destroy it when it became the headquarters for General Cornwallis. Nelson died bankrupt.
"But they sired a nation that grew from sea to shining sea. … In recent years, however, I've come to think of that day as more than just the birthday of a nation. It also commemorates the only true philosophical revolution in all history.
"Oh, there have been revolutions before and since ours. But those revolutions simply exchanged one set of rules for another. Ours was a revolution that changed the very concept of government.
"Let the Fourth of July always be a reminder that here in this land, for the first time, it was decided that man is born with certain God-given rights; that government is only a convenience created and managed by the people, with no powers of its own except those voluntarily granted to it by the people. We sometimes forget that great truth, and we never should."
“President Reagan's words are especially poignant this Fourth of July and should encourage us all in the days and weeks ahead. Let us rededicate ourselves to the vision of our Founding Fathers, so that our nation may experience a "new birth of freedom" on November 6th!

“…The immortal words of our Founding Fathers inscribed in the Declaration of Independence represent the charter upon which the American republic is based. The genius of America is rooted in our commitment to religious freedom—the freedom of conscience.”

“…President Obama's Department of Health and Human Services mandate forcing Americans to pay for abortion-inducing drugs, contraception and sterilization has undermined religious freedom as nothing in our 236 years of independence has threatened it. We can identify strongly with Thomas Jefferson, who crossed out the word "Subjects" and inserted the word "Citizens" in the Declaration of Independence. Citizens exercise their freedom to preach and pray, and to practice their religion. Subjects must obey mandates, even if those mandates violate their consciences and their most deeply held beliefs. Our Supreme Court has for the first time mandated us to obey an unjust law or pay a penalty they call a tax. It's as if the British Parliament had not only taxed our tea, but forced us to buy it, too!
“So let us have a Glorious Fourth. But let it be as well an Uproarious Fourth. Let's carry the message of religious and political liberty throughout this broad land. Let families as they gather pray together for our country in these perilous times. Let them read the Declaration, reflect on its real meaning, and commit to protecting its transcendent principles every day.”

“A national "Fortnight for Freedom" has been spotlighting the erosion of religious freedom and helping Americans learn how to defend their freedom. Torre notes that "the freedoms enshrined in our founding document will be hard to ignore on July 4. As the Fortnight for Freedom concludes, church bells across the country will ring simultaneously at noon (Eastern time), declaring loudly: Let Religious Freedom Ring."

“Today, we celebrate with speeches, fireworks, picnics, and other festivities the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Fifty-six men signed that document pledging their “lives, fortunes, and sacred honor” to the cause of liberty. All of them made good on that pledge. Many lost their wealth, land, families, and some their own lives as they birthed this nation. Unfortunately, perhaps more than ever in our history, their vision of freedom is under assault. This November’s election will determine whether one of the greatest legislative assaults on individual liberty will continue.”

“One of the things I am most proud of, pursuant to our Founding Fathers, was their faith in and recognition ofGod. It offends me to hear the seditious ignorance of the foolish that fight to remove any and all references toGod when, in fact, our Founding Fathers intended for God to be acknowledged and prayers to be offered in conjunction with good government and the observance of federal holidays and the ceremonies adjoining same.”
