Planned Parenthood: Friend to Rapists and Abusers?

Tony Perkins of Family Research Council Action describes what your tax dollars appear to be paying for in the liberal halls of the country's largest abortion factory. How progressive. Would Obama want this for his daughters?

Leaving Children at Risk

A highly anticipated case in Ohio's Supreme Court could go a long way toward exposing a series of Planned Parenthood cover-ups. The parents of a 14-year-old girl are suing the abortion merchant for refusing to report abuse. They believe, based on the cavalier treatment of their daughter (whose pregnancy was caused by her 21-year-old soccer coach), that Planned Parenthood didn't act with any level of diligence in what should have been a case of suspected statutory rape. The parents are seeking records of similar abortions at Planned Parenthood, with all personal information of the minor girls removed, to show that Planned Parenthood does not report suspected abuse except when the teenage girl makes an overt statement to that effect. Under Planned Parenthood's practices, young girls who are fearful of their abuser or unaware of their rights bear all the burden of exposing the criminal act. Planned Parenthood wants to conceal data that would display their reckless disregard for the welfare of these girls. Aborting these young girls and sending them back to their abusers is bad medicine and worse public policy. If Planned Parenthood indeed has nothing to hide and is making reports after carefully asking these very young girls about their situations, the redacted records will show it. The parents in this case-and all parents -have the right to know if the well-being of their children is being served by the nation's abortion behemoth.
