Thursday, January 14, 2016

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Robert Hurt (R-Virginia) released the following statement in response to Congressman Scott Rigell's announcement that he will not seek re-election:

"Throughout his five years in Congress, Scott Rigell has demonstrated his commitment to public service by working diligently on behalf of the people of Virginia's Second District.  He came to Washington in 2010 to advance a commonsense, conservative agenda and to put our nation on a fiscally sustainable path, and he has been integral to the progress we have made.  It has been a pleasure working with Scott, and I wish him and his wife Teri the best as he returns to private life."
