Obama's Plan to Impoverish America

ObamaCare = Redistribution Of Wealth

Douglas Elmendorf, director of the Congressional Budget Office, made an astonishing admission last week. Speaking before a healthcare conference, Elmendorf said the following:

“…the most significant impact of the [ObamaCare] legislation will be through the labor market. We estimated that the legislation, on net, will reduce the amount of labor used in the economy…primarily by reducing the amount that people choose to work. …Some provisions of the legislation will discourage people from working more hours or entering the workforce… The net reduction in the supply of labor is largely attributable to the substantial expansion of Medicaid and the provision of subsidies through the new insurance exchanges.”

According to Elmendorf, often referred to as “Congress’ accountant,” massive government subsidies for health insurance will cause many Americans either to work less or to stop working altogether. So they will be paying less in taxes and getting more in benefits. That is a recipe for fiscal disaster.

One Democrat governor recently had the courage to warn that ObamaCare creates perverse incentives for companies to drop their health insurance coverage and dump their employees into the “substantial expansion of Medicaid” that will become America’s version of nationalized medicine.

There is no doubt about it: ObamaCare is a major redistribution of wealth program. Obama is using healthcare “reform” to spread the wealth around, turning America into France. And just how is the European experiment in socialism going these days?"

Democrat Dirty Tricks Sully Virginia Politics

Attorney General of Virginia Ken Cuccinelli lays out the case for Democrat Deception in the 5th District...

With less than a week to go before November 2nd, Virginia once again is in the middle of the fight for the direction of this country. Virginia will, in large part, have a tremendous role in determining what direction our country will be heading in the next two years.

Nowhere is this more profound than in Virginia's 5th Congressional District, where State Senator Robert Hurt is challenging liberal incumbent and Pelosi rubber stamp, Tom Perriello.

18 months ago, Tom Perriello defeated Virgil Goode by less than 800 votes, despite John McCain carrying the district by several thousand. I have known Robert since he was elected to the State Senate several years ago,

where I served at that time. During our time together in the State Senate, Robert consistently demonstrated his commitment to the conservative ideals that we hold dear.

Since July, the national democrats and special interests groups have poured millions into attack ads to save their "pet" liberal Congressman, Tom Perriello. It is amazing than in a district like the 5th, its Representative in Washington could vote so contrary to the will of the people he represents. On every major Pelosi/Obama initiative, Tom Periello has voted "aye".

He supported the job killing "Cap and Trade" bill.

He supports "Card Check", which would gut Virginia's Right to Work laws.

He supported the government takeover of our health care system, despite being told by his constituents in 22 town hall meetings that they wanted him to vote no!

He supported the job-killing 'stimulus' bill, which now sits as a financial burden on our children.

And he supports the largest tax increase in American history - due to take effect in two months!

On issue after issue, Tom Perriello has DESERTED his constituents, and voted with Obama and Nancy Pelosi instead. No wonder President Obama has called Perriello his "favorite Congressman"!

Now, in a cynical attempt to deceive voters of the 5th, Tom Perriello has embarked on an effort to drive voters to the independent candidate, Jeff Clarke. Now folks, I have been active in Virginia politics a long time, and Jeff Clarke has never shown up for those battles that conservatives have been fighting for years. I find it strange, almost convenient, that out of nowhere, someone gets on the ballot as an independent, "CLAIMS" he is a conservative, claims he's a member of the Tea Party (when the Tea Party says he isn't) - and now, Tom Perriello and the Democrat Party of Virginia are running TV ads and sending mailers, to Republicans and conservatives alike - claiming Robert Hurt isn't a conservative, suggesting that Clarke is.

My Friends - this is a cynical attempt to suppress conservatives from voting - and it's a shameless tactic on public display by a desperate politician. I ask you to call your friends, call your neighbors, and if you don't live in the 5th, but know someone who does, call them and let them know that this deceitful tactic is backfiring ...and that a vote for Jeff Clarke - is, well...a vote to leave Nancy Pelosi right where she is - Speaker of the House.

Project 21 Members Protest as Career Prosecutors Reveal the U.S. Justice Department is Refusing to Enforce Laws Protecting the Civil Rights of White Voters

Washington, D.C. - In light of the imminent release of a report on the Justice Department's apparent politicization of the case of alleged voting rights abuses by the New Black Panthers, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are commenting on revelations that federal civil rights enforcement is not being administered in an impartial manner.

"'Equal justice under law' is as central to the American idea as 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.' Unfortunately, this now appears to be an alien concept at the Barack Obama-Eric Holder Department of Justice," said Project 21 member Deroy Murdock. "The American people should be enraged at news reports -- corroborated by the sworn testimony of career federal prosecutors J. Christian Adams and Christopher Coates -- that supervisors at the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division seemingly have decided not to prosecute cases in which blacks are the perpetrators and/or whites are the victims of federal crimes at the polls. It now is not the content of one's criminal behavior but the color of one's skin that matters at today's Justice Department. Who knew that race-conscious prosecution, or non-prosecution, would be part of the 'change' that President Obama promised us?"

Two career Justice Department prosecutors, J. Christian Adams and Christopher Coates, testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights about Obama Administration Justice Department political appointees opposing the prosecution of three members of the New Black Panther Party for alleged voter intimidation on Election Day 2008. That case, brought against the men during the Bush Administration, was settled early in the Obama Administration after a default judgment had been made. The settlement allegedly was made at the insistence of Obama political appointees.

A report on this case, compiled by the Civil Rights Commission after a year-long investigation, is scheduled to be released this week.

According to the October 23 edition of the Washington Post, three other Justice Department lawyers, who spoke anonymously out of fear of retaliation by supervisors, confirmed charges made by Adams and Coates about an overall environment favoring selective civil rights enforcement. One lawyer told the Post: "There are career people who feel strongly that it is not the voting rights section's job to protect white voters. The environment is that you better toe the line of traditional civil rights ideas or you better keep quiet about it, because you will not advance, you will not receive rewards and you will be ostracized."

Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie sent letters to President Barack Obama on December 12, 2009 and July 12, 2010 asking for the appointment of a special prosecutor to address the allegations regarding the New Black Panther Party case. As of October 25, 2010, the White House has not replied to either letter.

"Short of donning robes, hoods and burning crosses, it is hard for me to imagine a more glaring racist practice than that which the Obama-Holder Justice Department has apparently adopted," said Project 21's Massie. "It is not just an insult to the Constitution, but a complete abrogation of the Declaration of Independence pursuant to equal justice. The greatness of America can be found in our nation's Pledge of Allegiance in the words 'with liberty and justice for all.' Nowhere is it stated or intimated that said justice and freedom is to be based on color of skin."

While the whole world was watching another miracle of God took place during the rescue of 33 miners in Chile. Millions of prayers from around the world were answered when the last of these miners were able to see the light of day and rejoin the ir loved ones. We praise God for this miracle.

We ask you our Heavenly Father to be with all of these miners and their families. We pray that you will bless the members of each of the many firms that participate in this tremendous engineering challenge.

We pray Heavenly Father that you will continue to watch over this nation, that you will guide and inspire our citizenry to make good choices as we work our way through these turbulent political times.

We pray that you will protect and bless our men and women who are serving this nation around the world.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 19^th, at 5:00 p.m. EDT, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to hold a Public hearing on extending the current Lease of County-owned property located at 8333 Richmond Highway in Alexandria, Virginia, to The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia for the purpose of operating the Islamic Saudi Academy. The current lease expires on June 30, 2011, and the requested lease extension is until June 30, 2012, with the option to extend the lease for two additional one-year periods.

We continue to be extremely concerned about many issues surrounding the Islamic Saudi Academy (ISA), a school owned, funded, and controlled by the government of Saudi Arabia—including their Islamic Studies curriculum, patterns of anti-American, anti-Semitic, and anti-Christian activity, and the numerous terrorism-related activities, including arrests and convictions of former ISA students.

If at all possible, please do your best to attend tomorrow afternoon’s hearing to show your opposition to the requested lease renewal and to let the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors know your view that there is no place for an institution that teaches a radical, violent ideology in Northern Virginia—or anywhere else in our nation.
