Jon Myers for Congress: Honoring those who made the sacrifice

Memorial Day is more than just a long weekend. It's a day dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in our nation's armed forces. Their honor, courage, and commitment to service have safeguarded our freedoms and way of life, and it is our duty to remember and honor them.

As a retired Marine, I have had the privilege of serving alongside some of the finest men and women our country has produced. I have seen firsthand the unwavering commitment and exemplary bravery of those individuals.

This Memorial Day, let us pay tribute to these heroes. Whether through a moment of silence, attending a local memorial, or simply spending time with loved ones while reflecting on the freedoms we enjoy, let us ensure their memories live on.

Consider also extending gratitude to their families, who have carried the heavy burden of loss of their loved ones. Their sacrifices are a testament to the enduring strength and resilience of the American spirit.

Let us honor their legacy by striving to build a nation worthy of their sacrifice. Together, we can ensure the memory of our heroes lives on and that their sacrifices are never forgotten.
