I strongly oppose closing this facility, have fought to prevent the transfer of detainees to U.S. soil, and will continue to do so. The President has shown a repeated disregard for Congress and the rule of law, and Congress must remain vigilant that American national security is placed ahead of ideologically-driven campaign promises."
