Neil Gorsuch is sworn in as the nation's 113th Supreme Court Justice. President Trump released his list of similarly impressive candidates for future vacancies last November.
The Supreme Court is once again in play. On June 27, Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement from the Supreme Court. President Trump has said he will move quickly to name a replacement, and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said the Senate will vote on the replacement this fall. Some obstuctionist Democrats are calling for delay, a move even the Washington Post has called "grasping at straws." Unlike 2016, the midterms will have no impact on who gets to nominate the next Supreme Court Justice. Read more about the Democrats' bogus arguments here.
