When I served on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, we looked for ways countries might disadvantage particular ethnic and religious groups that could make their elections suspect, if not invalid.
Of course, many Americans think the 2020 election was highly suspect. Recently, one British columnist who is no Trump fan, looked at the evidence and concluded, "If that election had taken place in any other country, it would have been called 'unfree.'"
It's not a matter of fraudulent ballots or overseas hacking. The left conspired to rig the election. They bragged about it in a Time column earlier this year.
Not only did left-wing politicians and bureaucrats change election laws in ways that only benefited one side, the left also controlled the news and social media in ways that only benefitted one side.
Mark Zuckerberg did much more than just manipulate online content. He spent hundreds of millions of dollars to influence local election offices in ways that only benefitted one side.
This is what every state legislator concerned about election integrity should be talking about as we approach the 2022 elections. It's time for some honesty.
We had a president who was looking out for working-class Americans, taking on communist China, securing our borders and standing up for religious liberty and the sanctity of life. But the globalist gang could not tolerate it. They used their wealth and power to elect a man who barely campaigned, and who many believe is barely there.
