Police Benevolent Association Backs Vega Over Spanberger

August 29th, 2022

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY – Today, Yesli Vega, Republican Nominee for Virginia's 7th Congressional District announced the Police Benevolent Association (PBA), known for being "The Voice of Law Enforcement Officers," has endorsed her campaign for Congress.

"As a current law enforcement officer, I am honored to have the Police Benevolent Association backing our campaign for Congress. Men and women in law enforcement risk their lives every day to keep our communities safe from crime. That's why it is so important we stand with our police and fight to ensure they have all the resources they need to continue to do their job safely and effectively. Unfortunately, departments across the country are still struggling thanks to the Defund the Police movement propagated by leaders like my opponent, who remained silent as police across the country were assaulted during the BLM riots. It's unacceptable. That's why I'm blessed "The Voice of Law Enforcement Officers" recognizes I am the true pro-police candidate who will stand side by side with our men and women in blue and defend them when I'm elected to Congress this November." - Vega, Candidate for Virginia's 7th Congressional District

"Yesli Vega is an outstanding candidate and the Virginia Police Benevolent Association is excited to endorse her campaign for the 7th Congressional District. As a current law enforcement officer, Yesli understands what it means to put on the uniform every day and the risks it entails while defending our communities from crime. In comparison, her opponent has consistently backed legislation that would cripple the law enforcement community and only allow crime to spiral out of control even further. There's a clear choice for voters to choose from. If you Back the Blue and want someone who will fight for our law enforcement officers, please join us in supporting Yesli Vega this November."– Joe Woloszyn, Virginia Police Benevolent Association President
