Quote of the Day

"I suspect there are few Americans who can tell you the difference between the candidates’ positions on health care. But you can tell a lot about people by whom they associate with. We know whom John McCain has chosen to associate with over his life time. He joined the United States Navy and served his country with honor and distinction, including more than five years as a POW. In contrast, Barack Obama has associated with the likes of convicted slumlord Tony Rezko, anti-American domestic terrorist William Ayers and radical preacher Jeremiah Wright.

Now I know there are some people who don’t think character matters. Some might say that the 1992 election settled that question. I disagree. We were reminded for eight years, through scandal after scandal, why character does matter. And many of the financial problems we are confronting today have their roots in liberal policies created in the Clinton administration that relaxed reliable standards.

Yes, character counts, as do policies. And I promise you, my friends, you don’t want any of the characters surrounding Barack Obama influencing the policies that will govern our lives in the years ahead!"
