Members of Congress will soon return to Washington, D.C., following the end of the August congressional district work period and could quickly begin work on Senate climate legislation similar to the Waxman-Markey (H.R. 2454) bill that narrowly passed the House in June.
If signed into law, the Waxman-Markey bill will destroy tens of thousands of high-paying mining jobs and drive-up energy prices, while doing little to actually help the environment.
