A Prayer of Thanks for Every Earthly Good

Dear Heavenly Father we thank Thee,

For giving us so freely,

Our daily food and all things good;

We thank Thee, Lord, for Thy great love.

Thou of life, the Fountain Head

By Thy hand we all are fed;

As we bow in gratitude,

Lord we thank Thee for our food.

Be present at our table, Lord;

Be here and everywhere adored;

These mercies bless and, grant that we

May feast in paradise with Thee.

We thank Thee, Lord, for Jesus Christ,

And for the blood He shed,

For light and life and health and home

And for our dally bread.

We thank Thee, Heavenly Father,

For every earthly good;

For life and health and clothing

And for our dally food.

O give us hearts to thank Thee

For every blessing sent

And whatsoever Thou sendest

Make us therewith content.
