Good evening,
The semester has come to a close and the UVA CRs have headed home for winter break. We just wanted to take a moment to do a brief recap of the semester and to thank you all for everything you've done to support this organization.
With your help, we achieved our highest number of dues-paying members in chapter history (and there's still another semester to go!). We contacted THOUSANDS of voters, lending our time to canvass and make phone calls for a total of SEVENTEEN campaigns - three of which won by razor thin margins. We volunteered at the local animal shelter, raked leaves to raise money for Habitat for Humanity, and helped register voters. We also hosted a number of speakers, from Delegate Nick Freitas to activist Jaco Booyens, and held plenty of events aimed at expanding our community both within the University and in the surrounding area.
Looking ahead, next semester promises to be even more exciting. From hosting Congressman Riggleman at our spring semester interest meeting to taking a group to CPAC, we have a number of great events coming up.
Without all of your support and devotion, this club would not be nearly as successful.
