When Joe Biden took office, he reversed effective Trump-initiated border policies, including wall construction. President Biden previously promised amnesty to millions of illegal aliens during the 2020 campaign, and then facilitated the illegal crossing of over 2 million more illegal aliens into this country during his first year in office, in addition to hundreds of thousands of "got aways" who evaded apprehension. More recently, it was revealed that the United Nations is using U.S. taxpayer dollars to help increase the flow of migrants by "coaching" them on how to cheat asylum.
To combat this crisis, this week I introduced the Close Biden's Open Borders Act. The bill would freeze funding designated for the United Nations for two years and redirect the money towards completion of the wall on our Southern border. This commonsense solution would ensure we finish the construction on the Border Wall, and do so with a surplus, thus saving American taxpayers money in the process.
The passage of this bill would result in a safer America for all, and a safer state for Virginians. It is time for Washington to put America first and ensure that taxpayer money is prioritized toward keeping Americans safe.
