Virginia Senator Amanda Chase will present both SB1488 to Reverse Unconstitutional "Red Flag" Laws and SB805 to Reverse Locality Control of Gun Free Zones before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Both bills seek to reverse the Gun Grab that took place in 2020. SB1488 is a Chase sponsored bill to Reverse Unconstitutional "Red Flag" Laws which fail to recognize that the government should NOT seize weapons from people who haven't been convicted of a crime. "Even the New York State Supreme Court agrees. Red Flag laws are unconstitutional. They allow the government to take away your guns without any due process. This is unamerican. Red flag laws allow individuals who are not medically trained to deny an individual their basic fundamental right to protect themselves despite the fact that they are not trained medical professionals and the person hasn't committed a crime," stated Senator Amanda Chase. The State Supreme Court judge in Rochester, New York ruled this past December that Red Flag laws are unconstitutional. El Paso County's local district attorney Michael Allen said "red flag laws" are not only unconstitutional, "they are a poor excuse to take people's guns and not designed in any way to address real mental health concerns." SB805 is a Chase sponsored bill to reverse a law that was passed in 2020 by the Democrat controlled General Assembly, which allows a locality to create gun free zones. Gun free zones disarm law abiding citizens who can no longer legally protect themselves. Gun free zones empower criminals and increase gun violence as criminals take advantage of disarmed law abiding citizens. Gun free zones increase the risk of guns being stolen from vehicles when conceal carry holders are forced to disarm to enter an event. "Over the past nearly two years, we have seen a troubling trend take place with Democrat controlled legislatures and localities across Virginia misuse their authority to override both the U.S. Constitution and the Virginia Constitution which both state "the people have the right of to keep and bear Arms, and that right shall not be infringed." The U.S. Constitution clearly states, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." The Virginia Constitution in Article I of the Bill of Rights in Section 13 states, "That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power." "It's time to honor the U.S. Constitution and strike these unconstitutional laws that are mischievous at best, allowing individuals to take away another individual's rights based on speculation and hearsay," stated Senator Chase. Virginia Senator Amanda Chase will present both SB1488 to Reverse Unconstitutional "Red Flag" Laws and SB805 to Reverse Locality Control of Gun Free Zones to the Senate Judiciary Committee, which meets Mondays at 8am in the Pocahontas Building in Senate Room A, and Wednesdays in the Capitol, 30 minutes after session. I want to bring to your attention perhaps the most comprehensive analysis that I have seen recently regarding the severity of the Biden scandals. And I want to reiterate that this has never been about "getting" Hunter Biden. It's all about Joe Biden and the integrity of the presidency itself.

As we approach the two year anniversary of Biden killing the Keystone XL pipeline, it is important to remember that Biden has done his best (here and here) to bankrupt our great energy industries – critical assets to our economic and national security.

Now, the left is even coming for your gas stove and home heating. Biden has also suggested that outrageously high gas prices are a good thing. 

What explains Biden's hostility to American energy? It's been noted before (here, here and here) that the radical push for "green energy" primarily benefits communist China. 

And while Biden has been doing his best to crush our energy companies, his family was helping to grease the skids for a communist Chinese conglomerate -- CEFC China Energy -- to gobble up American energy companies.

Now, when I describe this as a "Chinese communist" company, I'm not just throwing around hyperbolic adjectives. 

Even left-wing CNN noted that CEFC "had China in its name -- a privilege normally reserved for state-owned companies," adding that the company "aligned itself so closely with the Chinese government that it was often hard to distinguish between the two."

There's no question that CEFC China Energy was doing the bidding of the communist regime in Beijing – and, by extension, so was the Biden family. 

In addition to paying millions of dollars to Hunter Biden's companies, the chairman of CEFC China Energy, Ye Jianming, also gave Hunter a diamond worth $80,000. (Did you know about that?) And Hunter wasn't the only one. 

Uncles Frank and James Biden also cashed in on their connections to Joe. James and his wife, Sara, used credit cards tied to an account connected to CEFC China Energy to go on a $100,000 spending spree. (Did you know about that?)

Several Biden business associates were connected to the Chinese communist intelligence apparatus, including Patrick Ho Chi-Ping. Hunter even described Ho as the "the f--king spy chief of China." 

Now we've just learned this interesting nugget: While Hunter Biden was up to his eyeballs in deals with the communist Chinese, he was living in the Wilmington, Delaware, home where "the Big Guy" kept top secret documents from the Obama White House.

Here's the bottom line: The Chinese communists, through multiple front companies, compromised the Biden family, including the former vice president and current president of the United States – Joe Biden.

America's economic and national security are at risk.

The Gatekeepers Failed

In America, we rely on our federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies to protect us from foreign enemies. And we have traditionally relied on our so-called "free press" to expose government corruption. These "gatekeepers" miserably failed us.

The Deep State and their media allies covered for the Biden crime family's corruption. And Biden even used his power as president to change government policy to hide Hunter's financial dealings. 

If that's not evidence of a criminal conspiracy, I don't know what is!

This isn't the stuff of partisan dirty tricks and opposition research like the absurd Steele dossier. This isn't the stuff of demented conspiracy theories like the Russian collusion hoax. 

This is real – and it's all documented on Hunter's "laptop from hell," which the FBI has had in its possession since December 2019, which dozens of Deep State officials tried to deny, and which multiple media outlets initially dismissed and ignored but have now confirmed is totally legit.

Why isn't every reporter pushing this obvious line of questioning? Well, we know why. 



Every conservative in Congress must start demanding answers.

The Trans Supremacy Agenda

The Miss Universe competition is one contest many Americans won't be watching much longer. The new owner of the organization that runs the competition declared, "From now on it's going to be run by women, owned by a trans woman for all women around the world to celebrate the power of feminism!" 

Meanwhile, the U.S. military is reeling from a massive recruiting failure.  But it has found time to distribute a manual instructing officers on how to handle the inevitable issues that will arise from transgender soldiers serving in the military. 

So, when female troops complain that they are showering with biological men, their officers are essentially instructed to shut them up. And when a "trans man" reports that "he is pregnant," the officer is supposed to treat the pregnancy like any other pregnancy. 

Last year, the YMCA made news when it banned an 80 year-old woman in Washington State who complained about a man changing in the women's locker room in front of little children. Well, the organization continues to kneel at the altar of radical transgender insanity. 

A 17 year-old girl in southern California objected when a fully biological man came into the YMCA showers with her and other girls. The teenage girl naturally objected to the staff, but later said, "I was made to feel as though I had done something wrong when I talked to people at the YMCA."

 

The San Diego County YMCA issued a statement saying, "We rely on subject matter experts, laws, and guidelines established by the State of California to ensure our policies are welcoming and respectful for all community members."

But these policies clearly are not "welcoming and respectful" to girls and women who have any normal expectations of privacy!

That brings me to the most important point that must be at the center of this debate – the trans supremacy agenda is harming biological women. That's what every politician who is asked to address the issue must say. 

The trans movement violates female privacy.  On the sports field it steals honors from female athletes. It physically hurts and disables female athletes. 

So-called "transgendered women" are demanding to get away with things that would send any heterosexual man to jail.

McGuire introduces bill to protect Virginia’s kids from poisonous D8 drugs

January 19^th, 2023 

RICHMOND, VA – Today, Delegate John McGuire announced he is introducing legislation (HB 1922) to ban the sale of harmful Delta-8 products. 

This bill makes it a Class 1 misdemeanor to sell, give, distribute, or possess with intent to sell, give, or distribute Delta-8 THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), except as authorized in the Drug Control Act. The bill also directs the Department of Forensic Science to determine the proper methods for detecting Delta-8 THC in substances.

"Many psychoactive edible products land in the hands of children because they are a key profit driver for the high-potency THC industry, e.g., gummies. The National Poison Control centers received 2,362 exposure cases of Delta-8 THC products between January 1, 2021, and February 28, 2022, with 41 percent of those calls involving children. Our children should be number one. It is past time to keep Delta-8 products out of the hands of our children. This bill (HB 1922) aims to do just that."

"Delta-8 is dangerous to our children and is a mounting public health crisis," said James Avery, MD, Co-Virginia State Director with the American Academy of Medical Ethics. "High-potency THC intoxicating products like Delta-8 can never be safely regulated—for anyone. Calls to Virginia poison control centers have skyrocketed because toddlers and children like four-year-old Tanner Clements of Spotsylvania County are getting their hands on and swallowing Delta-8 gummies. Tragically, Tanner died this past May. Speaking as a healthcare professional experienced on this issue, Virginia must ban Delta-8 sales as 14 states have already done. We thank Delegate McGuire for introducing HB 1922, which will ban Delta-8 sales and protect Virginia's kids."

Fwd: Update from Congressman Good: Starting the Year Strong

Legislative Victories from the House Floor  This week, House Republicans passed several key pieces of legislation that have set the tone for the new Congress. One of the first bills passed was the Born-Alive Survivors Act, which simply says that if a newborn infant survives an attempted abortion, that baby must be given lifesaving medical attention. While you would think this is a non-controversial position, all but one Democrat opposed the legislation. I was proud to join my Republican colleagues in passing this important legislation to establish a bare-minimum standard for protecting human life and caring for babies born alive, instead of leaving them to suffer and die.  In addition to this important pro-life bill, we also passed a resolution condemning the violence against crisis pregnancy centers that took place following the leaked Supreme Court decision last year. Once again, we only had one Democrat join us in rejecting violence against those simply working to save lives and help vulnerable women in the most difficult of circumstances. At the beginning of the week, I voted for the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act, which would fire the Biden Administration's 87,000 new IRS agents. Democrats' claim to stand for the "average American", while the actually support efforts to increase audits for middle class families. This bill would block those efforts and allocate funding for improved customer service at the IRS.  We also passed the Protecting America's Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) from China Act, which would prohibit the sale and exportation of crude oil from the United States' SPR to China. For the last several months, President Biden has been depleting the American SPR to help cover up the massive failures of his political agenda. Americans have been footing higher energy bills while Biden has been compromising our national and economic security by selling the nation's petroleum resources. This new Congress is dedicated to creating accountability and stopping corruption.  Securing Our Border and Spending Less of Your Money  On Tuesday, I introduced my first bill of the new Congress, the Close Biden's Open Borders Act, which would complete the construction of the Southern Border wall without increasing spending. In 2022, roughly 2.2 million illegal aliens unlawfully entered the United States. My legislation would temporarily freeze federal funding earmarked for the United Nations for two years and repurpose those funds to pay for the cost of finishing construction of the wall and securing our border.  On Wednesday, I introduced four more bills, all of which focus on reducing government spending and increasing government transparency. The Nickel Plan would require the federal government to reduce its budget by one nickel for every dollar it spends annually over a period of five years. It would implement a 5% reduction in spending and cap total federal spending at 17.5% of GDP. The Less is More Resolution amends the rules of the House to reduce the size and scope of government by limiting the number and cost of federal programs. It does so by requiring Members of Congress to cut two programs for every new one they introduce.  My Article 1 Regulatory Budget Act would require a regulatory budget detailing regulatory costs, similar to the annual budget for taxes and government spending. The All Economic Regulations Are Transparent (ALERT) Act would require a monthly update from executive agencies with detailed information about any rules that they are working on.  Click here to read more about these bills.
