National Federation of Republican Women Congratulates McCain on Securing Nomination

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Shirley Sadler, president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued the following statement on March 6:
“The National Federation of Republican Women sends its congratulations to John McCain for securing the delegates needed to win the Republican nomination for president. Senator McCain is a proven leader with more than 40 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Congress. His experience, character and core principles more than qualify him to serve as our nation’s commander in chief, and the NFRW looks forward to supporting him in his bid for the presidency.”

Founded in 1938, the NFRW is one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country with more than 1,800 local clubs in all 50 states and in the U.S. territories. The grassroots organization recruits and elects Republican candidates, advocates the Party’s philosophy and initiatives, and empowers women in the political process.
