Upcoming Events of Interest

  • March 25, 2008 - The Vets for Freedom Heroes Tour is begins the second stage of the tour in Minnesota with stops in Forest Lake and St. Paul. The tour will continue thru Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, and then work its way up to Washington, D.C. and New York. The Vets for Freedom National Heroes Tour is about supporting our troops, honoring their commitment, and rallying the country to complete the missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. The tour will bring together veterans from across the country to tell their stories and highlight their sacrifices, as well as rally support for completing the missions in Afghanistan and Iraq. As part of the tour, Vets for Freedom is highlighting the accomplishments of the men and women of our Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The National Heroes Tour will culminate on April 8th in Washington, DC with the Vets for Freedom "Vets on the Hill" event. Vets for Freedom will arrange for more that 400 veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan to converge on Capitol Hill to talk to members of Congress about the importance of supporting our troops and their mission.   • April 9 - A special Celebration of the 5th Anniversary of the Liberation of the people of Iraq will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, including the families of the Iraq and Afghanistan Fajlen Heroes laid to rest at Arlington. In addition, everyone across the nation is requested to honk their car horns or ring their church bells at 5:00 pm Eastern Time (2:00 pm Pacific).
