Obama is SOFT on Terrorism

DICK CHENEY MAKES OBAMA DEFENSIVE ON NATIONAL SECURITY

The President also feels the heat from members of his own party.

The Politico.com reports that Obama is "back on his heels over torture and terror, issues on which he surely thought he had the upper hand," after Dick Cheney landed many punches during his own speech on Thursday.

The criticism also came from his own party as Obama and his staff had even received calls from many worried Democrats on Capitol Hill. They pushed the White House hard to give Thursday's speech on national security to answer Republican charges of being soft on terrorism.

According to the Politico.com, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and others made clear "that we're going to need a lot more cover if we're going to be able to deal with this issue," said one Democratic leadership aide. Others said that this was not a speech the White House wanted to do since it would rather be pushing the country toward universal health care and other big government schemes.
This is a good start, but Cheney can not do it alone. More Republicans need to keep the pressure on the Obama White House.
