Ken Cuccinelli: A great Attorney General for Virginia

Senator Ken Cuccinelli Visits Southeast Virginia
Cuccinelli continues his frenetic campaign schedule visiting all areas of the Commonwealth.
NEWPORT NEWS, VA -- Senator Ken Cuccinelli, candidate for Attorney General, is almost through the second day of his three day visit to Southeast Virginia.

"Throughout my statewide campaign," Senator Cuccinelli said, "I have made it my mission to go to all regions of the Commonwealth of Virginia. I strongly believe that as a statewide candidate, it is in fact my duty to do so." He continued, "As I have traveled up and down the Commonwealth, I have heard the concerns of our citizens. Everywhere, they say the same thing - they want the next Attorney General to keep them safe and to help produce a growing economy again by preventing excessive government regulations. If I am their Attorney General, they can be sure that I will do both."

Among the places Senator Cuccinelli visited in his tour of Southeast Virginia:
· Hampton
· Newport News
· Norfolk
· Providence Forge
· Virginia Beach
· Yorktown

During the trip, Senator Cuccinelli took a tour of Norfolk Port. Norfolk Port is an economic engine that has helped create 343,000 jobs in Virginia, which represents 9% of the state's resident workforce, and has helped produce $13.5 billion for employee compensation and $41.1 billion in total revenue for the state. Ships from over two hundred different nations use this port each year. Norfolk Port contains three state of the art terminals, and the development of a proposed fourth terminal is expected to result in further economic growth.

Other Cuccinelli events included a breakfast at Adams Sports Shop in Providence Forge and a question and answer session before the Virginia Beach Leadership Council at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach.

More events are planned tomorrow, including the Northumberland County Republicans' Annual Oyster Roast.
