"In Virginia, Democrat Creigh Deeds has run a thoroughly negative campaign. Instead of offering his own vision for Virginia, Deeds has relentlessly hammered McDonnell for his pro-family, pro-life conservative values – with considerable help from the liberal Washington Post. But a new Washington Post poll finds McDonnell leading by nine points, up five points since the last Post poll three weeks ago. Deeds demagoguery has utterly failed to damage McDonnell’s standing, and Democrats in the Old Dominion are getting depressed."
