"Now the question is will the message sent by the voters yesterday carry over into next year’s crucial state Senate elections here in Virginia. Will party leaders get the message – give us candidates that are unapologetically pro-life and pro-family – that motivates voters? Will Virginia follow the lead of other states that brought wholesale change to their legislatures? Will party leaders endorse incumbents for the sake of “party unity” or listen to the voters?
The Tea Party had an incredibly positive influence on last night’s historic victory. The Tea Party re-branded the GOP as the party of fiscal responsibility, and the voters responded. They voted for change by firing dozens of Democrats. Now the Republican Party must earn their trust by demonstrating its commitment to core conservative values.
As for compromising with Obama and the Democrats, consider this: The supposedly moderate Blue Dog Caucus was decimated last night – half of its members lost to even more conservative Republicans. What is the incentive for these Republicans to act more like the Democrats voters just rejected?"
"Today, take some time with your friends and family to celebrate the fact that we now have a pro-life House of Representatives, and a more pro-life Senate.
You also elected new pro-life Governors and state legislators. As a result, we’re going to see incredible pro-life momentum in state capitals from coast to coast.
This day is a reminder to everyone that it is imperative that we stay in the fight, no matter what the circumstances, because we know that one day – ultimately – Life Wins.
One day soon, we will restore a culture of Life in this great nation."
