The Culpeper Republican Committee continues to set the standard for others to follow. This past month many members volunteered in various activities to include but not limited to staffing the Headquarters, put on the first July 4th Constitutional Rally in Culpeper, prepared paperwork for the 7th District Convention, volunteered with various committees at the convention, and even sold out our entire Trump Gear inventory. I am so proud of the hard work our members continue to do. It definitely does not go unnoticed. I received so many compliments from various Republican Leadership at the 7th District Convention that you are the "Gold Standard" for other Committees to follow.  Let's use that energy to take back the 7th and turn Virginia Red again.

CCRC  News:

 

We need volunteers to work at our Headquarters.  Activity here has been plentiful.  It would be nice if we could keep it open 7 days a week especially as the November election draws closer.  So many of you have expressed interest in volunteering, this is your chance.   If you can volunteer, please email Lori Medley at ccrcrecsec@gmail.com, or Sherrie Settle at corrsec@gmail.com.  You can come and train along with our regular volunteers on Tuesday from 11:00 until 2:00 pm, Friday from noon until 7:00 pm, or Saturday from 11:00 until 2:00 pm.

COVID-19 Politics

The media and the political left are having a great time crucifying "red" states like Florida, Georgia, and Texas for increasing COVID-19 deaths. These states with conservative governors were less aggressive in shutting down their economies and somewhat quicker to reopen. Even Dr. Fauci has been joining in on the bashing while this weekend holding up New York as an example of the "right way" to fight the virus.

The virus apparently does not agree with this analysis. As of this morning, here are the number of COVID-19 deaths in the states in question, both of which have very liberal governors and legislatures.

And here are the "bad" states that are being clobbered by the media.

This can change, of course. Perhaps the mortality rate per 100,000 people in the three red states will skyrocket. But as of now, they are far from the disaster that is New York and New Jersey.

Flatten the Fear

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement:

"The time has come to 'Flatten the Fear,' when it comes to Covid-19. And we don't have any time to waste. We have the highest unemployment rate since the Great Depression – more than 42 million Americans jobless and that number grows every day. The purpose of our campaign is to reduce fear through education – basic facts about Covid-19 – and we are putting a microphone in front of doctors who know more about the disease than anyone else. In the past three months, countless Americans have missed out on key preventative and routine treatments because hospitals have been largely closed to non-coronavirus patients. The mental health effects of the lockdown have been equally devastating – measured by a 33% increase in anti-anxiety drug prescriptions, a 75% increase in hard liquor sales, and a 338% increase in calls to the national Disaster Distress Helpline. We can isolate the few and protect the many instead of isolating the many to protect the few.  If we don't, sadly we will have more victims of Covid who never have the virus."

Republican Barbeque Postponed: Pigs Happy!

To our Fellow Republicans:

 

We are really disappointed that the annual Republican BBQ, traditionally held in July, will not be offered this year.  There are several reasons, COVID-19 being the most obvious.  With the peculiarities of this disease, questions as to crowd capacity and social distancing make it difficult to plan with any surety.  The heat of last year, and what we're experiencing now, also factored heavily into the decision.

 

Assuming we reach a more "normal" time in the coming year, we'll try again!  We are looking at several Fall possibilities where we'll be able to gather together, meet some of our candidates, and strategize in a fun environment to work toward success.

Daniel Gade: A Strong Challenger for the U.S. Senate

When an opportunity presents itself, we need to grasp it with both hands and carry it to its ultimate, and favorable, conclusion.  Such is what has been presented to us with the selection of Daniel M. Gade as our Republican candidate for the United States Senate.

 

The February issue of The Blue Ridge Messenger extolled many of his virtues, which we hope were actively shared with readers' families, friends, neighbors, acquaintances across the Commonwealth prior to the primary.   Now to add more arrows to the quiver.

 

If we were to take the Republican Creed as our measuring stick, we would have Daniel to a "T".  Consider some of his statements:

 

On the Constitution, Freedom, Equality: "Our civil rights include the right to live in accordance with our religious principles, the right to unrestricted free speech and exchange of ideas, and the right to protect ourselves by keeping and bearing arms. This is the only way to ensure equal protection and justice for all, regardless of race, class, or creed."

 

On Life:  Daniel stands with life 100% and believes that an unborn child has a fundamental right to life.

 

On the Free Enterprise System: "Markets that are free of government interference or crony capitalism are engines of economic growth and prosperity for all. Low individual and business taxes, decreased regulation, and free and unfettered trade is the key to further improvement in the standard of living for all Americans."

 

On Limited and Fiscally Responsible Government and Opposition to Socialism: "We must return to a fiscally responsible government that promotes individual freedom. Powers not given to the federal government explicitly in the Constitution are reserved to the people or to the States. Government overreach should be called what it is: tyranny. It's past time to rein in government overreach and return to Constitutional government." Or, "If we can go to zero base budgeting … it means that every agency has to justify its budget every year instead of just building off the previous baseline." (Novel concept: author's comment)

 

On a Strong National Defense: "What keeps us out of conflict and out of shooting wars, is the ability to win shooting wars. To win decisively, we need a strong national defense."  And specifically, "To create a stronger national defense, Gade suggests a focus on growth of the U.S. Navy. "The Navy is the one that is fully engaged at all times. "The Army, Marine Corps and Air Force are a little less so. The Navy has responsibility for ensuring national commerce and keeping seas safe."

 

On Gun Control Specifically:  Daniel has said repeatedly that he is a Second Amendment supporter.  He has also spoken directly to the Red Flag Law proposals:  "Virginians, I want to set the record straight: I am against Red Flag Laws. I fought proudly in uniform for 25 years to defend our Constitutional rights. These are rights that I hold dear and that I will fight tooth-and-nail to make sure are not stolen from the American public. As your next US Senator, I will fight against any proposed law that infringes on our 2nd Amendment rights. You have my word.  (From Facebook – video)"

Dan Gade understands that this will be a tough race – if for no other reason than his opposition's name recognition – and it will be an even tougher job given the complexity of issues facing our country.  It's interesting how well-prepared he is, however, not merely his educational background – West Point through Ph.D. – but also what he teaches now at American:  Complex Problems Seminar and Introduction to Political Research.  He'll actually understand the legislation upon which he's called to vote.

His life is already a legacy of courage, and he's clearly not afraid to fight or to meet any challenge head on.  He also has perspective – that he would be a public servant, not a career politician.  "The message thousands of Virginians have sent…is they are ready to elect a servant."  Dan would serve, and does support term limits – a pledge he would honor.

Dan is gaining a number of endorsements – from members of Congress (e.g., Dan Crenshaw) to members of the faith community (e.g., E.W. Jackson) to the Republican National Committeeman (Morton Blackwell) to Brigadier Generals to mayors, state senators and the head of Law Professors for Trump.

Our nominee won 67% of the vote in the primary.  Sixty-seven percent has a nice ring to it – a great goal to which WE can aspire.  Dan and his campaign staff alone cannot achieve that goal.  He needs ALL of us supporting him in a myriad of ways – financially, contacts with everyone we know throughout the state, letters in media with state-wide circulation, social media, and sharing with all, far and wide, about what an outstanding U.S. Senator Dan Gade will be!

The American Revolution and President Trump

Both Necessary and Not Temporary

 

President Trump has a job to finish and we are going to help him do it. Many of you are concerned of the assault on our Judeo-Christian ideals and our American history in recent weeks as you should be and as is our President. Our founder's intent of an American heritage for families willing to assimilate into American culture through principles, as defined by our Declaration of Independence through divine providence, is the primary influence which has been a welcomed education for over 200 years. We remain thankful for our God given rights which were ratified in our Constitution. Americans have a way of knowing that we have the right to independence and defending freedom because of our faith. The ongoing radical opposition toward what we were founded on is primarily being urged by foreign-influenced individuals who are determined to alter our bedrock culture of faith driven truth by using ignorance and by racist haters who are unafraid to shout out hateful language and conduct brutal force. When President Trump was elected by wide margins in 2016 there were foreign born and funded radicals who began to heap endless lies upon America to divide its core; and until this moment it continues but they still have not had success in destroying our faith or support for President Donald J. Trump. Just like the American Revolution, history will be kind to President Trump as a necessary patriotic savior of the Republic.   

 

John Adams wrote to Thomas Jefferson in 1813:

 

"Now I will avow, that I then believe, and now believe, that those general Principles of Christianity, are as eternal and immutable, as the Existence and Attributes of God; and that those Principles of Liberty, are as unalterable as human Nature and our terrestrial, mundane System."

 

Our American Revolution was not a temporary thing or idea but rather it is, and was, deemed permanent by God and our faith in God to say no to tyranny and never again allow enslavement of our rights, freedom or ability to have private ownership of land or personal property. We the people still hold these truths and we will not be denied them or be shackled by hate, socialist rule or communist dictatorship mobs. Christian education in America must be rekindled to restore the fundamental basis of ideals to revitalize generations of Americans presently and all who will soon arrive. Historical truth is also necessary in a free republic to recognize where we came from, how we solved any form of divisiveness and improved upon the pedestals of equality. You cannot peel away the orange or tree's outer cover and let the naked inner core sit there as an example of what it is and how it came to be. Only those with limited intelligence or malice in mind would insist on tampering with or concealing the existence of a statue, thing or place which represents our history as a nation of educational truth.

Every freedom in this Republic is cut or drawn from the cloth of faith by the founders through the laws of nature, the creator, providence and almighty God. This is who we are, this is what we fight for, and this is what we must turn to once again with vociferous conviction. We must re-elect the President. We must have equal justice for those who tried to overthrow our elected President with lies, spies and foreign actors. We must prevent the continued menacing upheaval and cease its ability in our streets, towns and cities. We must call a diamond a diamond. The elected democrats (overall) have become radical socialists beyond any comparison in our history and the democratic citizen must be alerted at once to who they really are once and for all. These elected radicals are not what they appear to be or who they say they are when it comes to the preservation of American values. If these elected sorts are against American heritage, faith in God and American tradition, then they are against American citizens of every race. Every voting citizen must be made aware of their actual purpose.

The lawless cannot prevail in America, for to allow it, would be the changed and unraveling of our Republic and the inevitable loss of our unique American sovereignty. We have a right to gather to signal to big government that we refuse overbearing malice of any sort on our rights. It is important to note that individuals do not have a right to move against the very significance of American law which protects liberty from the tyrant, dictator or mob. These times upon us now during this early period of the 21^st century are like grinding teeth together when it comes to the press and media which has become a tool of the lusting mob, bent on causing unrest across the nation. Justice must be the ruling hand in a civil society represented by a constitution such as our own. World history has shown us that communism and socialism are an absolute failure in providing liberty, freedom and truth to the people. President Trump has become the savior of the American homeland just like the founders during the American Revolution. President Trump is the savior of the American dream and the American independence which we are founded on and imbedded with, through our absolute faith in God. We the people provide our liberty. We the people determine our government, not the other way around. We the people believe in real truth not hate or liars. The mob can never rule in America. We formed a government to protect our rights given by almighty God.

 

John Adams said "I would define liberty to be a power to do as we would be done by. The definition of liberty to be the power of doing whatever the law permits, meaning the civil laws," ~ And he said "Straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to liberty, and few nations, if any, have found it."

 

We must enforce our laws when they are violated. We must not allow a rogue press to bend and spin lies to aid the overthrow of the Republic and with it our very liberty. There must be a way forward to consider the line in the sand when potential domestic hostility is used by the often hostile press to bring harm to our very sovereignty and liberty. With the election of the President so very necessary in 2020 we must leave no time unattended where we can lend a hand in any way we can to re-elect President Trump for 4 more years and seed his first 4 years of work and improve upon his vast achievements already in place. Liberty must survive and through President Trump's economic genius it shall. Under God's guidance the President moves ahead for the people.

So, once again America stands at a crossroad of oppression vs. real truth. Once again American history is being challenged and with it the intent to erase its existence. Once again we fight the domestic radicals who would prefer chaos and unfiltered socialism littered with vast elements of communism designed to fabricate lies and fake news while undermining our Judeo-Christian ideals. We must make no mistake, President Trump needs your help and we need his help as a stop gate to restore our principles and bring to justice the many radicals who are likely to be indicted and prosecuted for crimes against the Republic any moment.

I close with the following positive encouragement, Yes, there is unrest across the country via media and pressers both on the internet and televised ~ Yes, the leftist communist movement is doing everything they can to elevate chaos in the street. Each and every state must have patriots which come forward to get out the vote and stop these menacing mobs from being elected or anyone they support from being elected to office. Get out the vote in your community or district at once. If we remain determined to retain our freedom, our liberty and our American sovereignty from foreign enterprise or domestic radicals then we can stop it in its tracks. It is long overdue that more Americans get involved and make up the difference in the vote to preserve our heritage and bring God back into our education, our elected offices and our media representation. President Trump has a job to finish and he is doing it with your vote and your faith in God. He's making America great again and we know his plan works. Remember our American Revolution like President Trump must not be, and will not be, a temporary thing or idea but rather a permanent idea of liberty and justice for all to preserve our history.
