Help Ensure an Honest Election!

The McCain-Palin campaign is committed to ensuring that every qualified voter has the opportunity to vote and that all lawfully cast votes are not cancelled out by fraudulent votes.

Elections should be decided by voters, not lawyers

Just four years ago, Democrats and their allies engaged in a number of troubling instances of voter fraud and intimidation.
    • In Pennsylvania, votes for John Kerry were found on machines before the polls opened.
    • In Wisconsin, John Kerry campaign workers slashed the tires of 25 vans the GOP were going to use to get out the vote and transport poll watchers.
    • In Philadelphia, a gun was shown to Republican poll watchers in an effort to intimidate them.

This year, ACORN and its affiliates are working with the Obama campaign to help elect Barack Obama the next President of the United States, while engaging in widespread voter registration fraud.

    • ACORN is currently under investigation for voter fraud in 14 states, including nearly every battleground state. According to election officials across the country, about 50% of ACORN's voter registrations are fictitious.

Voter registration fraud results in voter fraud.

    • Many states do not require identification and with absentee ballots there is the potential for voter fraud.
    • The kind of systematic voter fraud practiced by ACORN can overwhelm local and state election officials by "flooding the system."
    • It is impossible to determine the amount of voter fraud that can take place, but we do know that the main intent for voter registration fraud is to commit voter fraud.

In the past, Democrats have sought to change the subject by claiming that Republicans are engaging in voter intimidation and suppression efforts. In fact in 2004, a Democrat Election Day Playbook instructed workers and volunteers to allege voter suppression and intimidation even if there were no instances of it occurring.

Condemning Suppression

The McCain campaign condemns any type of voter suppression or voter intimidation.

In past campaigns, Democrats have instructed workers to claim that voter suppression and intimidation is occurring, even when there is no proof that it actually is. In 2004, a Democrat Election Day Playbook, specifically called for this tactic to be used.

The charge that our effort to ensure that every lawful vote counts is the equivalent of suppression is absurd and Orwellian.

Democrat accusations of voter suppression are intended to distract the public from voter registration fraud and voter fraud by ACORN efforts.

John McCain: A Man of Action

A BOLD PLAN OF ACTION TO TAKE OUR COUNTRY IN A NEW DIRECTION NOW

John McCain has a bold plan to take our country in a new direction by getting our economy back on track, creating jobs, keeping people in their homes, helping those near retirement, curbing spending, lowering health care costs and achieving energy independence.

John McCain has a plan to ensure we take care of the people who have been devastated by the excesses of Wall Street and Washington. He will not spend taxpayer money on just bailing out Wall Street.

John McCain has a plan to protect home values and get them rising again by buying up bad mortgages and refinancing them. Everyone is being impacted by declining home values.

John McCain has a plan to let retirees and people nearing retirement keep their money in their retirement accounts so they can rebuild their savings.

John McCain has a plan to cut takes so we can be more competitive and create jobs here at home. Raising taxes makes a bad economy worse. Keeping taxes low creates jobs and strengthens our economy.

John McCain has a plan to make government live on a budget by freezing all government spending save for defense, veterans care, Social Security and health care. He will scrub every single government program to eliminate those that don't work, and he will veto every single pork-barrel bill.

We can't afford Barack Obama's nearly trillion dollars in spending which will mean higher taxes or more debt.

John McCain has a plan to bring down the skyrocketing health care costs and make it more available for more Americans. John McCain will provide every single American family with a $5,000 refundable tax credit to help them purchase health insurance. Workers who already have health insurance from their employers will keep it and have more money to cover costs. Workers who don't have insurance can use it to find a policy anywhere in the country.

We can't afford Barack Obama's health care plan that will fine small businesses and families with children to force them into a new huge government-run health care program.

John McCain has a plan to help small businesses by keeping taxes low so they can create more jobs.

America's small businesses can't afford Barack Obama's tax increases which will force them to cut jobs.

John McCain has a plan to open new markets to American goods and make sure our trade is free and fair.

We can't afford Barack Obama's plans to make it harder to sell our goods overseas and kill more jobs.

John McCain has an "all of the above" energy plan to achieve strategic energy independence, lower energy costs and create millions of new jobs.

Americans can't afford Barack Obama's opposition to more drilling and building new nuclear power plants.

A Slippery Fellow: Obama's record show his rhetoric is false

The NRA Facts Prove it!

MCRW Takes the Gold

Members of the Madison County Republican Women (MCRW) attended the Annual State Convention of the Virginia Federation of Republican Women (VFRW) April 17 - 19, 2008 at the Marriott Hotel in Newport News.

Delegates attending the Convention included MCRW President Sue Riley, 1st Vice President Anne Farmer, and Corresponding Secretary Erline Arthur.

MCRW received the 2007 President’s Guidelines Gold Achievement Award with a Blue Ribbon. The award was given to the club by VFRW President Paula Willoughby and VFRW Guidelines Chairman Martha Hendley in recognition of the member's outstanding performance in meeting state guidelines in 2007. This is the second year MCRW has received the Gold Award.

Clubs have a 20-item list that they must comply with in order to be considered for recognition. Club officers must attend district and state meetings; members must provide campaign support for local and state Republican nominees; and participate in or donate to a Community Service Project and the Mamie Eisenhower Library Program, to name just a few items.

The VFRW is a state chapter of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) that shares the responsibility of electing Republicans in the State of Virginia and strives to improve the daily lives of Virginians.

The NFRW, a volunteer grassroots organization with 100,000 members and 1,825 local clubs nationwide, strengthens the Republican Party by recruiting, training and electing candidates; advocating the Party's philosophy and initiatives; and, empowering women of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds in the political process.
