Democrats Offer Bogus Arguments on Supreme Court Vacancy

Neil Gorsuch is sworn in as the nation's 113th Supreme Court Justice. President Trump released his list of similarly impressive candidates for future vacancies last November.

The Supreme Court is once again in play. On June 27, Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement from the Supreme Court. President Trump has said he will move quickly to name a replacement, and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said the Senate will vote on the replacement this fall. Some obstuctionist Democrats are calling for delay, a move even the Washington Post has called "grasping at straws." Unlike 2016, the midterms will have no impact on who gets to nominate the next Supreme Court Justice. Read more about the Democrats' bogus arguments here.

Tell the Truth About Vince Foster

The Swamp is pushing Brett Kavanaugh while trying to sabotage the possible nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. She is a Christian. We are seeing headlines like this:
Judge Amy Coney Barrett, a potential Supreme Court nominee, has defended overturning precedents
But the rest of the story is that she supports overturning precedents that are not in line with the Constitution. Two such precedents which should be overturned as the Court’s decisions on abortion and gay marriage.

I am told that Mark Levin discussed Brett Kavanaugh on his radio show last night but ignored his involvement in the Vince Foster cover-up. Levin was just elected to the National Radio Hall of Fame.

You deserve the truth.

Here’s where you separate the men from the boys. The boys, members of the establishment conservative club, will conceal the truth from you. For my part, I don’t care what they think. I believe in telling the truth. I worked with Reed Irvine for decades on stories like the Vince Foster “suicide.” He taught me to pursue the truth no matter what.
The Foster case is an opportunity to expose those in government who play along with the swamp in order to go along and get along.
What happened in the Foster case was the use of government and government agents to peddle a false story of suicide, and then to harass a grand jury witness, Patrick Knowlton. Then, as now, FBI agents were implicated in the corrupt scheme to conceal the truth.
As Foster researcher Hugh Turley explains:
The FBI has been covering up the murder of Foster with the help of the news media since 1993. FBI agents have falsified interview reports to make it appear Foster’s car was at Fort Marcy Park when it was not. Grand jury witness Patrick Knowlton was harassed and intimidated before his testimony.
My friends: the facts are indisputable. Vince Foster’s murder was covered-up and Kavanaugh was part of the cover-up. We can’t reward this kind of behavior.

Celebrating Independence Day

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays -- celebrating patriotism, our history and the tremendous courage, faith and sacrifices of our Founding Fathers. As the 242nd birthday of America dawns tomorrow, millions will get together with friends and family for backyard barbeques, games and fireworks.

By all means, enjoy the day!  Celebrate America and our freedoms!

But please take a moment to remind your children and grandchildren about America's exceptionalism and the significance of Independence Day.

Remind them about the sacrifices at Bunker Hill and Concord Bridge that were necessary to create this nation and secure our freedoms. Tell them about the courage of George Washington crossing the Delaware River on Christmas night.

Most importantly, tell them about America's "mission statement." It can be found in the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. . ."

Those were radical ideas in 1776 and they are still radical concepts in many parts of the world today.  Even here in 21st century America it seems we are struggling with the concept of "truth" and the notion that our rights come from God, not government.

This July 4th we have much to celebrate.  We have stopped (for now) the left's fundamental transformation of America.  Our economy is growing again.  Businesses are hiring again.  We have confidence again.

We are winning the war against radical Islamic terrorism.  And America is once again leading on the world stage.

But the future of our liberty depends on whether folks like you and me can, in the weeks and months ahead, muster the courage to overcome the left's "resistance."  We must preserve the nation our Founding Fathers created, a nation our first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, described as the "last best hope of Earth."

In closing, I would like to offer a brief note of encouragement to our pastors, who are on the front lines of the culture war.

John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg is a lesser-known hero of the War for Independence. He was a pastor and a member of the Virginia House of Burgesses.

In 1775, he preached a sermon on Ecclesiastes 3:1 -- "For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven." Pastor Muhlenberg closed his sermon with these words:

"In the language of Holy Writ, there is a time for all things. There is a time to preach and a time to fight. And now is the time to fight."

He then removed his clerical robes and revealed to the congregation that he was dressed in the uniform of a Continental Army officer.

Pastor Muhlenberg's example of a man of God fighting for our God-given rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness should give increased fervor and devotion to those who lead us in the fight for faith, family and freedom.

Men and women of faith won important victories at the Supreme Court recently, but the battle for our First Amendment freedoms, especially religious freedom, is far from over.

Like few times in our nation's history, this is a time to fight for the values we cherish.

Urge Pres. Trump to nominate Judge Amy C. Barrett for Supreme Court



Dear Mr. President,

You have the historic opportunity to reverse a 50-year trend and bring a constitutional renaissance to the Supreme Court, the entire federal judiciary and, hence, the Nation. No president has ever accomplished this feat. Accordingly, your nomination of the next Supreme Court Justice may be the most important decision of your presidency and will define your legacy for generations to come.

It is our firm conviction that Judge Amy Coney Barrett is the best Supreme Court nominee for this defining moment in history, and we commend you for placing her on your list of prospects. Therefore, we respectfully and unreservedly recommend that you nominate her to the United States Supreme Court.

The "4th of July" is not a holiday

Any more than is the "5th of July." Those are dates on the calendar.  The holiday we celebrate which falls on the fourth day of every July is America's "Independence Day."   
 
"Independence Day" is the holiday, yet over the years we've become conditioned to drop the name and instead refer to the date. Why?

We say "happy fourth!" as if "the fourth" is a holiday without really thinking much about it. Is it small? Yes. Is it subtle? No question. Is it petty? Absolutely not.
 
Ours is a nation responsible for bringing freedom and liberty to untold, innumerable millions all around the globe and having done so at the cost of our own blood.
 
Yet what do we now see playing out on the streets of our nation and even more so in cyberspace?  Millions of Americans view our sense of national pride as foolishness and our acknowledgement of American exceptionalism as a delusion of imperialistic grandeur, many emboldened by eight years of leadership by those of a like mind.
 
Antifa punks and others make a mockery of & burn our flag, hold signs declaring "America Was Never Great" and view our nation not as the solution to but the source of the world's problems. 
 
These and other America-hating globalists would love to see certain memories fade, certain attitudes destroyed, certain practices and pillars of nationalistic pride torn down. Practices such as standing hand-over-heart for the national anthem prior to sporting events and such as the celebrations of America's independence and subsequent rise to become the greatest superpower in the history of planet earth.
 
They'd love to see us forevermore say and celebrate "the 4th of July" with as little or no reference to exactly what we're celebrating on that date as possible. To let it be all about nothing more than hotdogs and fireworks. They're putting great effort into having parks & memorials removed or renamed, words and memories scrubbed from history books, not taught in schools, dropped from the public conscience.
 
Not on my watch.
 
Sorry but we will not go quietly into that good night. We will rage against the tearing down of our national traditions with our dying breath if necessary. Including the celebration of America's independence!
 
I'd like to challenge you patriots this year (and every year hereafter) to begin referring to this holiday by its correct name; "Independence Day."
 
Many men and women, better than you or me, sacrificed their all to gain this nation's independence. Let's honor their memory and the glorious gift of liberty they've bestowed upon us, a gift that's still giving some 242 years later, by referring to this upcoming holiday by its proper name:  
 
America's Independence Day!
 
After all, we don't say "Merry 25th of December."
