Congressman Good Update: Tyler Wenrich is Home

Tyler Wenrich is Home

After 37 days in Turks and Caicos, including two weeks behind bars, Tyler Wenrich is finally back in Virginia and reunited with his family.

It was my honor to greet Tyler at the airport. Welcome home!

Read more about Tyler's return here.

Tyler had been detained in Turks and Caicos since April 23 for two stray rounds of ammunition that had fallen into the liner of his backpack. On Tuesday, he received a sentence of a $9,000 fine and time served for the charges against him, and was finally able to be re-united with his family, friends, and the community he serves.

This is the result we were seeking on my trip to Turks and Caicos two weeks ago with congressional colleagues. We met with government officials to advocate for the release of all the American detainees who were facing a 12-year prison sentences for accidental and non-threatening offenses.

We are thankful to all who worked and prayed on Tyler's behalf.

Miscarriage of "Justice" in New York City

The egregious verdict in the New York trial of President Trump represents the most prominent miscarriage of "justice" in modern American history. This corrupt sham of a NYC judicial system demonstrates the extreme danger of placing individuals in power who will abuse that power to accomplish a political objective.

This is election interference at the highest and most dangerous level, and points directly to unlawful and unconstitutional collusion by Joe Biden and Merrick Garland. This obscene verdict will certainly be overturned on appeal, and that must happen expeditiously.
