Washington, DC–President Biden's reelection campaign is promoting his leadership in securing the United States' southern border with Mexico by trumpeting a new Executive Order (E.O.) that ostensibly will help do that. Unfortunately for this country – and presumably for his electoral prospects – the harm done to date by Biden administration's concerted facilitation of illegal immigration is so vast that even if the new initiative were an important corrective, it would make little difference. Worse yet, this initiative is transparently an eleventh-hour political make-over that will actually perpetuate, rather than meaningfully ameliorate, the invasion of America since January 2021.
After all, the Biden E.O. allows a further 2,500 illegal aliens into the U.S. per day, provided they use the CPB1 application to apply for admission. That would translate into the authorized entry here of at least a further million aliens seeking asylum each year.
By keeping the border open in this fashion, moreover, the opportunity will remain for two especially unwelcome imports from Communist China: deadly fentanyl and large numbers of unaccompanied, fit and fighting-age males, many of whom are believed to be soldiers of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).
Donald Trump spoke yesterday about an agreement that he had reached during his presidency with Chinese dictator Xi Jinping that would have given the death penalty for those in China trafficking fentanyl. Whether that would have been implemented – or, like other commitments by Xi concerning cutting off the supply of fentanyl, it would have gone completely unfulfilled – will never be known for certain. What is clear, however, is that the Chinese Communist Party continues to use this lethal drug to wage what amounts to chemical warfare against us, costing by some estimates the lives of 100,000 Americans per year – and profiting handsomely from doing so.
Meanwhile, the number of seeming PLA special forces and other military personnel being admitted into the United States continues to grow. Here again, it is difficult to ascertain for sure the magnitude of the problem but there appear now to be several divisions-worth present with their locations unknown, but presumably across the country, and capable of performing a variety of deadly and otherwise disruptive and destructive missions.
This week's Committee on the Present Danger: China (CPDC) webinar, "Biden's Still-open Door and What Xi is Bringing Through It," from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. ET today, Friday, June 7, will assess the actual state of U.S. border insecurity and interior enforcement of immigration laws and the extent to which serious shortcomings are being exploited by our mortal enemy, the Chinese Communist Party. We will also assess the sorts of corrective actions that are available and the impediments to their implementation.
