"The Founders made it hard to amend the Constitution. It’s especially hard in a country that is as closely divided between Left and Right as we are today. What the Founders could not have anticipated, however, is that our courts would rewrite the Constitution every time they met, which is exactly what’s being done at the state and federal level. I hope, my friends, you understand why it is so important that our next president, who will make the next two or three Supreme Court appointments, shares our judicial philosophy and believes that judicial activism is wrong."
