Quote of the Day

Crystal Dixon, an African-American who was fired from her job as an associate vice president at the University of Toledo almost a month after her editorial on homosexuality appeared in the Toledo Free Press

Dixon objected to a column that compared the gay rights movement to the civil rights movement, asked the paper to print her response. The Free Press agreed, triggering an explosive reaction from university officials that resulted in Dixon's suspension. A couple of weeks later, the University formally terminated her-- "though UT spokesmen are declining to confirm or explain it," according to the Family Research Council.

Yet another example of the so-called 'tolerance' shown for those "thinking outside" the left-wing box...
