Quote of the Day

"As he looks toward 2012, Obama is looking to the future by taking out old pages from the Democrat playbook. In the days ahead, we will hear more populist calls for class warfare and higher taxes on the rich. Democrats often refuse to define "rich" until it's time to rewrite the tax laws. Then they settle on a figure that includes most of the middle class.

But in their zeal to punish success, Democrats expose their ignorance of fundamental economics. Liberals don't understand that government does not create jobs. Poor people don't start businesses. Jobs are created by men and women who have capital to invest. Ours is a consumer-driven economy, but the more government takes, the less you have to spend. That is why reducing government spending is so important to future economic growth."
