U.S. third-quarter economic growth tops expectations
Good news:
"U.S. gross domestic product, which is the broadest measure of the U.S. economy, grew significantly more than expected in the third quarter — 1.9%, vs. the 1.6% rate economists predicted. Economic growth slowed only slightly from the second quarter's rate of 2%.
Meanwhile, U.S. private sector job growth picked up in October, also topping analysts' expectations, with private payrolls growing by 125,000 for the month, vs. the 100,000 expected."
