Vega Discusses Effects of Burdensome Government Regulation, Supply Chain Issues with Small Business Owners in Culpeper

April 3rd, 2022

CULPEPER, VA– Yesterday, Yesli Vega candidate for Virginia's 7th Congressional District met with several small business owners and employees in downtown Culpeper to discuss how government regulation, supply chain issues, and inflation brought on by the Biden Administration are affecting their businesses.

"Small businesses in Virginia continue to struggle under the leadership of Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Abigail Spanberger. It's no secret that since Biden took office, American businesses are facing a disrupted supply chain, skyrocketing inflation, and employment shortages. My visit in Culpeper reinforces the importance of why I'm running for Congress this year. We are fighting for the small business owners who have struggled to keep their businesses afloat under Biden's policies. We are fighting to help create good paying jobs in our communities and to root out burdensome government regulations that hinder folks from pursuing the American Dream. When I'm elected to Congress, I'll work with Republicans to stop Joe Biden's anti-growth agenda and help get small businesses and our communities thriving once again." – Yesli Vega, Candidate for Virginia's 7th Congressional District

In the past year, Biden's policies have caused record inflation and encouraged Americans to stay home while abusing the unemployment system. With no relief in sight, Biden and the Democrats are even looking at eliminating the historic tax breaks that led to low unemployment rates and helped small businesses thrive pre-pandemic.

While in Culpeper, Vega visited the following small businesses:

  • 4 C's Restaurant
  • Culpeper Cheese Company
  • Shenandoah Garden Spot
  • Botanical Dwellings
  • Moving Meadows Farm
  • Beer Hound Brewer
