Congressman Bob Good Update: Standing Up for Religious Freedom

This Biden Administration's Assault on Religious Freedom Continues There is a long history of members of the clergy ministering to our troops. It was shocking to discover just a few days before Easter that a group of Catholic priests who had been providing pastoral care at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for almost twenty years received a "cease and desist" letter from the facility. Sadly, this order to stop providing spiritual services by the Biden Administration is another action which violates the First Amendment and undermines freedom of religion.   I signed onto Representative Mary Miller's letter to Defense Secretary Austin this week demanding answers on the decision to remove the priests. Unfortunately, this is consistent with Biden Administration moves to spy on churches and ignore left-wing attacks on religious institutions. I will continue to defend freedom of religion, as it is one of the most important foundations of our country.

Stopping the Radical Climate Alarmists As President Biden spent this week on a family vacation in Ireland, he announced new rules that would shift American auto production massively toward battery powered vehicles. Not only are these vehicles unaffordable to the average American family, but the proposed rules are inconsistent with Biden Administration moves to restrict the use of fossil fuels to produce the electricity needed to power millions of new cars and trucks. President Biden would also give more control of our economy to China because we rely on them for the rare earth minerals necessary for battery production. This week I joined Representative Chip Roy's letter calling for the House to cut the EPA's wasteful spending by $3.6 billion. We are also demanding that Congress defund the Biden Administration's radical climate agenda that is driving up energy prices and rewarding "green" special interests. The climate cult has taken U.S. energy policies hostage for the last 20 years and we are demanding that Washington does not spend another cent on this harmful anti-American agenda.
